I Told You So
Dear fellow members,
I propose an "I Told You So" sticky thread.
In this thread if you ever made a prediction that seem so outlandish that nobody believe you and accuse that you are just some "WUM" but then it come true.
For instance, anyone who predicted that Tonga might beat France at the RWC and get the score exactly right, or Samoa beat Australia, or Scotland beat Australia this year, or Ireland beat Australia at the RWC, or that NZ would manage not to choke and actually win a RWC, or if you predict an unlikely score line and it comes true. Or for another example, you might predict that SCW become the coach of Otago or something, or Rob Howley coach England or something like that. Or for example again the poster called ROBSHAWFORENGLAND might be a life member on this thread for his genius post "My work here is done".
This would have to work like a roll of honour for all time unlikely prediction and so would only contain the links to unedited posts that showed eerie foresight.
What do you think?

We aren't playing them three times in the AI's. At least Peter's was clever. Or are you predicting they'll best England too?

Its a good idea.
Here's my one:
Leinster to fare worse than both Munster and Ulster in this year's Heineken Cup.

There will be no Pro 12 sides in the H Cup semis.
Scotland will have their best finish since 2000 in the 6N.
Wales will win a match against one of the SH 4N teams
Joe Schmidt will get involved in a test side match.

Re: I Told You So
The Bledisloe was and is THE most important trophy contested by the All Blacks outside RWC?i would have included the 3N/4N too.THAT is not in dispute it was originally a 2 game home and away fixture.Three seasons ago an extra one was added supposedly to promote the game in places like Japan/Hongkong.Why has it now become another match in OZ?apart from the bean counters. How many times do you want to play the same team?it serves no function now except for an extra game. Then people go on about team management, two was always enough in the past.SO can it[the EXTRA game] if no longer serves the original function.

I was going to say "All Blacks fan comes across as reasonable balanced and not a whinger" but then I realised that it was far too unrealistic a prospect

Prince Harry to be picturing quaffing pimms through a bum funnell provided by Mike Tindall and Brian O'Driscoll...... in celebration of a Lions series win... after Harry scores the winning try in the final test, filling in at flanker after the squad is decimated by injuries.. on his stag night.
He will return home to be crowned King and will rule the world with his Queen (Rachel Friend).. remember, plain Jane from Neighbours who had a makeover by taking off her glasses and turned out to be a stunner although she must be 50 now... he will prove to be the most inspirational world leader in history and will end all wars, conflicts, hunger and poverty

The only bit of this story that doesn't ring true is that Rachel Friend played Bronwyn, not JaneSubmachine wrote:Prince Harry to be picturing quaffing pimms through a bum funnell provided by Mike Tindall and Brian O'Driscoll...... in celebration of a Lions series win... after Harry scores the winning try in the final test, filling in at flanker after the squad is decimated by injuries.. on his stag night.

The Lions win their last match against Australia by 1 point to win the series 2-1. In the last match they play a backline of
9- Dwayne Peel
10- Dan Parks
11- Shane Williams
12- Gavin Henson
13- Mike Tindall
14- Ian Balshaw
15- Geordan Murphy
And Parks kick the winning DG. The side is captained by Martin Johnson who realises that redemption lies in playing rugby again

WRONG!
They have to have at least one Scot - and Paterson is a better FB than Murphy
and maybe Mark Cueto at 14, to score a try to bring the teams level with a minute to go before Parks DG.
Captained by Borthwick of course.
