I Told You So
First topic message reminder :
Dear fellow members,
I propose an "I Told You So" sticky thread.
In this thread if you ever made a prediction that seem so outlandish that nobody believe you and accuse that you are just some "WUM" but then it come true.
For instance, anyone who predicted that Tonga might beat France at the RWC and get the score exactly right, or Samoa beat Australia, or Scotland beat Australia this year, or Ireland beat Australia at the RWC, or that NZ would manage not to choke and actually win a RWC, or if you predict an unlikely score line and it comes true. Or for another example, you might predict that SCW become the coach of Otago or something, or Rob Howley coach England or something like that. Or for example again the poster called ROBSHAWFORENGLAND might be a life member on this thread for his genius post "My work here is done".
This would have to work like a roll of honour for all time unlikely prediction and so would only contain the links to unedited posts that showed eerie foresight.
What do you think?

Australia will smash the Lions and it will therefore be scrapped. Then Wales can focus on Wales.

Re: I Told You So
in the Allan rowland thread last week I said that at the first scrum in the ABs Wallabies game Nigle Owens would penalise Wyatt Crockett for boring in.
Well how was I to Know that Wyatt crocket slipping over would be regarded as collapsing the scrum.

Re: I Told You So
I noticed that on the rugby championship guess the score thread many people correctly guessed that Argentina would score sixteen points. Though not that the game would be a draw.
Interests as why the number sixteen was chosen...?

A converted try and three penalties. Seems plausible. I had Argentina on 15 but not the draw. I think if you pick a draw and the score you should automatically win. It's like a hole in one. Who gives a hoot if you then make a hash of the rest of the holes. You don't care. You're a legend.

Re: I Told You So
I chose the draw at 15-15 but got the week wrong. Somewhere in my head I thought the first game was in ARG and didn't read the venues in the list correct. I was basing it on Franz Steyn hitting some long range penalties and Morne missing the close ones and argentina getting three tries but not converting any of them.
I am also predicting that Argentina will wilt as the competition goes on since they are not used to playing so much high intensity. It will be interesting to see if they prove me wrong.

Re: I Told You So
Can't see it personally. This Argentinian side has no attacking threat whatsoever, you guys should beat them by a lot at home and comfortably in Argentina (i suspect it will be close).

Only sad if your kiwi mate.
Great for rugby on the whole.
It's possible, let's see how they survive the next few rounds

What is a comfortable but close win? Wales England last six nations?

Re: I Told You So
Judging by the way ARG used some rather inaccurate aggression to stay in the game last time, and their lack of depth and conditioning I would suggest that they will get one or two spankings this years as a less relaxed referee deals out a few yellow cards (at least) if not red ones and fatigue sets in and emotion runs out. I predict a large drubbing in NZ and even worse one to rescue Robbie Deans for a few months in Australia.

I was surprised they didn't get any cards in the Newlands test. I suspect Walsh was going easy on the new kids

Re: I Told You So
This is one you'll all have to wait up a long time for...
... or rather, I mean you'll have to be stringent about your yearly medical checks to ensure you'll be around for....
... or at least you'll havce to make sure you've had proper training on the VS16 Audi Hover Car with Super Conductive Technology for a more comfortable flight ......
Ireland will beat New Zealand.
'When' you say??? - Don't be cheeky!
