Probably better to stick this on the Paralympic Board but just read that Michael Watson is to be one of the Torchbearers for the Paralympic Games next week.

For me, Michael is one of the most inspiring sportsmen (certainly from these shores) of recent years and there's something about him that warms the heart everytime I see him.

Tremendous honour for a really great guy

There is not a lot more to be said beyond I agree totally, Watson is a remarkable man, remember the documentary about his injury and there is some footage of him in the hospital in the very early days of his rehabilitation, to see where he has got to from the state he was in then is beyond remarkable, that he also seems to have done so with remarkably little bitterness is a mark of the man. A well deserved honour for one of the definite good guys.

Certainly have to admire a guy.....who took a massive setback like that..rubs himself down... accepts it and turns it into a positive....

Certainly shows that faith can be a good thing and a strong family base!!

Seeing him run the marathon years ago showed his true worth but now I see he goes around hospital to hospital giving people faith and hope in the most trying of times!!

A wonderful person, an inspiration and an example to us all!!!

Nothing to add from me, really; a great advert for boxing, and that's really saying something considering that boxing demanded so high a price for him. More importantly, though, a great advert for all sports and that indomitable human spirit.
