Can't honestly overstate how much my team has been trashed by injury and bye weeks this week. I've spent the last hour scouring the waivers and there is nothing there. Nothing! Can't honestly see anyone worth picking up, especially at RB. It's going to take some massive performances from the guys that are available to me or an awful week for Lowland Brit's team if I'm going to win this week.

at least you're getting the good weeks, ravens D are flatlining at 9 pts per game but will only get worse with all the injuries..

I'm already on my 4th defense of the year Laugh

I started with the Steelers, they went on bye so I grabbed the Broncos, then to the Bengals, and now I'm on to the Vikings!

Any Niner fans know whether Manningham will be playing? He's questionable, and I may have to slot Ogletree in.

Both Atlanta and Philadelphia are on bye weeks so it is a pretty pointless move for this week, is there really not a single D playing this week on waivers?

You know, Stephens-Howling having a great day against me is bad enough; the fact that I had Wells and Williams do nothing for me earlier in the year really isn't making it any better.

The fact I dropped him doesn;t exactly make me feel too good either!

Can't believe I may well win again this week, after not thinking about Richardson's injury hard enough and leaving 10 points on the bench.

Plus think I'll rename my team to 'oh, but for a defense' as the Skins don't have one!

Correction, left 25 points on the bench! Then again, who'd predict Vernon to get a big fat 0. Shows this game is a mix of luck and judgement. Couldn't have known Davies would get 0, but likewise, should have realised Richardson would likely not finish the game carrying a rib injury. Just lucky I wasn't up against a better team.

You battered me this week skins. I had Turner, White, Manningham, Bolden, and Decker out for various reasons and I got nowhere near your score in the end. I hoped I could close it a little with some touchdowns from Greene and Heyward-Bey but it never got close after Johnson and Griffin blew it open.

Sorry Lowland, I was in a real pinch with my RBs this week - only had one on my roster that was available to start. Spent the week scouring the waivers to see if there was anyone worth picking up but there was no-one. Even ended up considering just leaving the space blank and playing a man down rather than dropping someone from my roster to make way for a one week scrub. In the end, spotted that Stephens-Howling had become available and thought I might as well take a punt on him cos even if he got 2 or 3 points then that might make a difference in the end. Turns out I struck gold in the end cos he exploded for 20 points!!!

This match up isn't over though - all my players have played so my score is in the bank. You've still got Leshoure, Megatron and the Bears D to play. I had a 47 point lead after the Thursday game last week and still lost the match up so I'm not counting any chickens yet! Bears D has been awesome in fantasy footie this season and you just know that Megatron is going to explode at some point. Will be tough for all 3 to score heavily since they're up against each other but you never know in this game....

Believe me I would have held on to him myself if I had realised! Then I go and pick up Dwyer and leave him on the bench as Richardson looks good to go. Doh

I'm OK for the mo, but the bye weeks start kicking in - I'm in the do-do when RGIII gets the bye in 2 games time unless Ponder has a break out game. And now I have '2 Addai 4' coming up! Oh well, RGIII has a good chance against... oh hang on, its the Steelers up next! Here's hoping Polamalu is still off and Harrison remains ineffective. Rolling Eyes

There's a lot of variation in scoring this season. I reckon it could be down to the level of mediocre teams in the NFL? i.e. Most of the point scoiring is going to the good teams.

Blimey, how statisically weird is the East this year?!!??

Div 1 is full of winning teams, every team in Div 2 is middle for tiddle and no team in Div 3 has a winning record

every team in Div 1 would make the playoffs (if season ended today)

I know it's crazy this year with every team in Div 1 a winning record and every team in Div 3 a losing record!

Big game with me and skins this week at top of Div 1, unfortunately it's this week when my only reliable player Foster choses to have his bye week!

Have to speak up for Div 3. The top 4 teams with the most points against are there and 1 from the next 3. There also 3 with more points than teams with winning records. Can't believe I'm top of it though with 4 losses. Although poor rbs might change that fairly quickly.

Not sure he chose to have a bye... Very Happy

Got some selection issues myself. Graham is on a bye so no high scoring Texans kicker, and I can't predict how any of my RB's will do week to week! Plus the Panthers suck, so Smith isn't in the points like last year.

Think I've been generally lucky with who I've been up against so far. Looks like a tough divisional matchup this week!

Poo. Lost on on Rashad Jennings on waivers. Crying or Very sad

With Ray Rice on a bye, that leave me with Starks, Woodhead and Ingram as RB's... WITH THE TOTAL PREDICTIVE SCORE OF 1.90 FOR ALL THREE..!! mad

I think most of us were in for Jennings this week!! Any time a starting RB becomes available you've got to try and grab him unless your roster is already perfect and in a 14 team league, that's not possible!!

Agree BTW with all those above who commented on how weird this East league has been this year. It's just an absolutlely classic demonstration of how your success in it can be down more to how the other guy doesin any given week than anything you do yourself. Four of the 5 teams in division 3 are the four most scored upon teams in the league. Nothing any of the guys there can do about that. Also, if you look at division 1 the two teams in that division who have scored the most points are the two bottom teams and are both 2 games behind the division leader!! Was gutted to see that despite winning this week, I slipped to the bottom of my division!

I give up. I finally get a set of RB's I can be happy with, and now my WR's look naff. Smith is up against the BEars this week, so I have gone with the NFL.com advice and benched him, but I have to put Avery in as the only reasonable alternative. Hence I've offered up Dwyer as trade bait, but I doubt anyone will bite. Rolling Eyes

Having nothing too lose (no RB's this week), i gambled on Josh Freeman over Eli Manning this week...

happy to see JF bag 22.38pts against the Vikes, probably not enough to compete but might help me avoid the lowest League score...

Seems like everyone at some point is getting hit hard with bye weeks. I don't remember it being this hard last year to at least find someone on waivers that you could plug in and hope to get a handful of points from. It was hard, but not as hard as this year! I got lucky last week with Stephens-Howling but that will be the exception rather than the rule. I'm OK this week with byes but haven't checked the weeks to come. I know Alfred Morris is off in week 10 so will really need DeMarco Murray back by then. Apart from that, I'm not sure how I'm shaping up with the byes. I think I might be over the worst of it though.

Sorry, that's me just got this week's standings updated. I've just taken them straight from NFL.com and I'm not sure how but my team is now ranked ahead on there of All Of The Lights in the division despite, overall, All Of The Lights being ranked 3rd and my lot 5th. They've also scored more points than me. I can only assume it's maybe a head-to-head thing as I came out on top of the match-up with Dominic Dicoco's lot back in week 3.

There's obviously been a bit of chat earlier in the week about how odd the league is looking so won't run through it all again here. I will just point out though just in case people aren't aware that we are now over the halfway point of the fantasy regular season which does of course end in week 13 of the actual NFL season. Our playoffs run weeks 14 through to 16. If the season ended just now then the playoff situation would be:-

Wildcard round:-
At last a QB v All Of The Lights
Rushden and Diamantis v RG3's Super Socks

Wildcard rouns byes:- 2 Addai 4, Chicago Vultures

Every single team is still in playoff contetion just now - even all those in the 3rd division with a 2-5 record since the 3 division winners go forward to the playoffs. Still all to play for!!!

The Matadors were (as expected) well and truly stuffed by Dom's AOTL...well played fella

In my defence I only had ONE of my first EIGHT draft picks playing, so quite happy to actually get over 60 points...

Need to turn it around this week, playoffs are looming Very Happy

I'd take Stafford too, Bull. Although with their matchups you can't really go wrong.

Standings updated. It's still a tight race in every division.

Division 1:- Just 1 game separates top from bottom. Fresh from winning their big division match up last week against 2 Addai 4, At last a QB has another one this week against RG3's Super Socks. A second division win in a row could really give them a good grip in the title race. You get the feeling that Super Sock's are going to have to win that one to stay in contention as there are only 4 regular season games left after this week. Got to also mention at this point that All Of The Lights are on a very impressive 5 game winning streak and are the league's hottest team.

Division 2:- Suddenly, it's all change here! A couple of weeks ago it looked like Chicago Vultures and Shepton Mallet Matadors were separating themselves from the other 3 teams but simultaneous two game losing skids have seen both teams overtaken by Second Hand Secondary and The Travelling Medicine Show. Still though, just one 1 game separates all 4 teams and this one is going to go to the death. No division match ups here this week but current leaders, Second Hand Secondary, have got a big match up against 2 Addai 4. Both teams will be wanting that win badly as they look to keep their noses in front at the top of their divisions as we head into the regular season's final stretch.

Division 3:- Are Rushden and Diamantis making a decisive move here at the top of the division? Two wins in their last 3 games including last weekend's resounding win over the Chicago Vultures has seen them get to .500 and has put a little daylight between themselves and the rest of the division. Second Hand Heroes win against Almost Perfect saw them leap 3 places out of the basement and up to second place in the division, right on the heels of Rushden and Diamantis. Again, no division match ups here this week however Rushden and Diamantis face probably the toughest test of any team this week as they go up against the league's hottest team, All Of The Lights, who themselves will be desperate to extend that 5 game winning streak as they look to make sure they stay right in the thick of a hotly contested division 1 title race.

If the season ended today then the playoff picture would look like this:-

Championship Playoffs
1st round byes:- At last a QB, Second Hand Secondary

Wildcard round:- 2 Addai 4 v RG3's Super Socks
Rushden and Diamantis v All Of The Lights

Consolation Playoffs
1st round byes:- The Travelling Medicine Show, Shepton Mallet Matadors

Wildcard round:- Second Hand Heroes v Almost Perfect
Chicago Vultures v Bradfords Steaming Rams
