Draft Info

The draft is scheduled to take place as follows:
Monday 3rd September 2012. 8.30pm BST (3.30pm EST when setting it via NFL.com)

Any requested change of draft date will need majority approval. Time is slightly more flexible if people can be up front about there likely schedule on the day... but appreciate we all have lives and they won't all coincide nicely.

1st round Draft order has been selected at random and then the snake format will do the rest.

I'm the league manager so I can do what I like...... Mwahahaha  

I imagine we'll draft in early September. Gives time for all the training camp and preseason injuries and final cuts to happen then.

In the meantime, while we're waiting for the draft, we can all decide what your team is going to be called!

haha, i thought we would draft around Aug 25th etc cant be too late in September though as i will busy with GTAV

Last year we did the draft on the first Sunday in Sept iirc.

Afternoon all!

Still not had any indication of intent from skins4ever so will fire an e-mail to him tonight and hope gets back to me one way or the other as soon as poss. If not then we have NYJ waiting in the wings.

I'll try to get some options up for draft dates and times tonight so we can get voting on that and get it sorted.

I'm still waiting on GSC as well... this is acting as another hint to him!

I'm away the 30th Aug to 1st Sept to that's why none of those dates are included. Realise that's entirely selfish of me so if we're struggling here with these dates then I'll throw some of those in to see if we can get a majority. Hopefully some of the above will do though. Season starts on 5th September so in theory we can take this up to the 4th of September if needs be.

Anyway, I can do all of the above..... that's why I've suggested them!

Cheers lads for all the responses so far. Looks like we shouldn't have any problems getting a draft time that suits most. I'll let this run another couple of days then set a date and a draft order which will let anyone who wants to get mock drafting get on and do that. Given that this isn't a keeper league I'll just ask NFL.com to set a random draft order. Format will be the snake draft we've used in previous years.

One last bit of housekeeping - skins4ever has got back to me to say he is in again this year so that means we have everyone returning from last year. Really sorry NYJ but rest assured that you are first alternate and I will be cracking down hard on any teams that look like they aren't functioning!

Being lazy and can't see a confirmation in the last few posts, so someone confirm when the draft is?

I threw a few suggested dates out for the draft at the start of the week - most people have replied now but I'll let it run another day or so just to give those that haven't seen it yet a chance to have their say. To save you scrolling back up, the suggested dates are:-

Monday 26th August 8pm
Tuesday 27th August 8pm
Wednesday 28th August 8pm
Thursday 29th August 8pm
Monday 2nd September 8pm
Tuesday 3rd September 8pm

Let me know what you can and can't do and what your number 1 preference is and I'll factor it in.

Reckon I'll maybe try and get it set tomorrow night.

Can't do 29th, think I'm good for other dates but would prefer 26th or 27th.

I might struggle with the 26th as its the bank holiday and will most likely be plastered

All odd numbered rounds will follow this order while all even numbered rounds will be an exact reverse of it, i.e. Second Hand Secondary will have the 14th and 15th picks of the draft while Almost Perfect will have the 1st and 28th and so on....

At least I correctly called what date Number-25 would set the draft for so it didn't clash with the Keeper league!
