The v2 Rugby Podcast
First topic message reminder :
Hi all,
Last night several 606v2 posters got together to have a chat about all things rugby. And the result was the first edition of the v2 Rugby Podcast.
To hear the result click here: http://www.v2journal.com/v2-rugby-podcast-1-29th-august.html
We had a pretty wide ranging chat, part one looks into the Rugby Championship, the ITM and Currie Cups along with the Top 14, plus a smidgen of Pro 12 at the end. Part 2 continues the Pro12 chat then moves on to the Aviva Prem.
We're hoping to make this a regular feature so please let us know what you think.

Re: The v2 Rugby Podcast
I find the whole podcast concept really interesting as it gives a better insight into different peoples different rugby thought processes .
One area that I feel would be better served in the format of live discussion (as opposed to the threads) is the new innovations and advancements in the game as well as the effect of the new laws currently under trial.
I'm sure that anyone who saw last nights game between Counties Manukau and Hawkes Bay, or even any ITM games over thelast two weeks would agree that ITM cup games have definitely gone up another level, compared to last year.

Re: The v2 Rugby Podcast
If you want Auckland I am more than happy to give a review of the new laws for next podcast. What they are, what the IRB are hoping to achieve with them and any potential issues that might arise due to them being there.

Well done guys! Really enjoyed listening to that. Can you imagine the whole rugby pub doing a podcast? No...better not...

Re: The v2 Rugby Podcast
Good stuff fellas.
Some thoughts.
Decide on a duration and stick to it. Keep it short at the outset and then expand as contributors get better/more comfortable, and/or you get more content. 15 minutes of quality beats 30 minutes of insight interspersed with lots of ehms and ahs and other verbal meanderings.
Talk in pictures whenever you can.
Segments, segments, segments. Have a programme schedule with agreed timings. It makes the thing easier to produce, and easier to listen to.
Spread the topics over a number of recordings. You don't have to laboriously work through a particular topic at one sitting. This week, we'll look at X, next week, we'll look at Y. (Make people want to listen in to the next one.)
If there's going to be a regular presenter, then his/her job is to get the others talking/sparring and make the segues between each segment and keep the show on the road.
Best of luck.

And whats actually happening on the field..
Yes Staggy that would be good, Why I picked on something like the new laws as a topic for the podcast is that globally it affects us all. and in turn interests us all.

Agree completely
We try and split up the wrestling one into 3 parts where possible and I host things to try and generate the debate.
Looking forward to episode 2

Ozzy - you should try asking Rick O'Shea for an RT. He's usually pretty good like that, and he's got 10K+ followers too I think.
