Is it just me or will Federer v Verdasco be over very quickly?

I can see it clashing with Doctor Who.The Special Juan wrote:Is it just me or will Federer v Verdasco be over very quickly?

Isn't that a contradiction?

Not really. Has Lopez served all 12 games?

Wow. A big door opens for Murray. Challenge on a first serve and Lopez was wronged and the luck has evened out. Tight TB and Murray takes it

Re: US Open Day 6
Murray will be relieved. Lopez played some fine tennis in that first set and can feel hard done by with that first set.

Re: US Open Day 6
Lopez played some of his best tennis there and still lost the set. Murray was a bit patchy but still displayed his moments of magic.

Murray breaks in the 2nd. First break of the match. Feel Murray is now going to press on in this 2nd set. Still something in it for Lopez if he just believes a bit.

Re: US Open Day 6
This is a compelling match between Lopez and Murray. Credit to Lopez for playing a much much-improved match from twelve months ago and Andy's character has seen him pull out the two set lead. Murray not playing badly by any stretch either.

Re: US Open Day 6
Internet frailties and lack of SS 3 + 4 have led me to listen to the Murray match on the radio. Murray does not want to be hanging about in this heat.

Although to Murray's credit he might have lost this match a year ago.

Oooof! Fed just upped the gear and grabbed the first set in rapid no sweat style. No sweeter sight in tennis.

Murray going walkabout again after breaking serve. He has shown tremendous focus in the TBs.

Re: US Open Day 6
This radio commentary is bizarre. They are talking about chimps and Fernando Lopez.
Sounds like Murray has Murrayitis back. Can't have it in his next match should he get through. Why is he ragged?

Muggy is limping and feeling himself all over when he loses a point and we're supposed to like him. Yeah..very understanding.

Why does he look so half ar$ed? At no point are Federer or Nadal giving such signals..

Re: US Open Day 6
So do I. Why, after so many years, is it when we get a player with the ability to win majors he turns out to be a nutcase? (Note: I'm being a bit ironic here).

I can think of stronger words to use than "pumpkin"
I like it: "He has the body language of a man who has just learnt his 10-year stamp collection is worthless."

Well if he isn't 'fit' which is what we are lead to believe, just retire and not subject the paying crowd to tankwank marathon!

Re: US Open Day 6
I really can't see how or why it would be physicality creeping in. If you look at facts Murray trains in stiflingly hot Miami so would be used to it. On top of that Murray has had the shorter matches coming into this game AND has had a day's extra rest whereas Lopez played a four and a quarter hour match two days ago and Lopez is the older. If anyone was going to struggle you'd have bet it being the Spaniard. I'd say it is more likely to be some sort of an injury.

And not do himself anymore damage. All the while Mr Federer is beating Verdaso by a set and a break.

Now if he played that aggressive in the back end of the last set he would be back in the hutch!

Actually, ignoring Tommy Haas, I want to know what Lendl thinks about this.

It's not injury as he hasn't called the trainer.
I am sure Lendl would have him stand at the net and take some 5 yard FHs!

Whilst laughing his head off. It'll be interesting to hear his post-match comments regardless of the result.
Imagine another Brit outlasting Murray in a major. It's laughable

If I were Lendl I would beat him within an inch of his life! As a coach I would be pi$$ed if the player tanked through fatigue.

Re: US Open Day 6
I always thought Murray should be strapped with a shock collar with Judy or a coach holding the button in their hand and whenever he plays a bad game/gets down on himself he gets a nice jolt.

Well for me it is inexcusable for a player ranked 4 in the world is succumbing to fatigue.
Pathetic

Lopez isn't putting Murray in danger, Murray is putting Murray in danger.
