Tough call between Bell and Hussey, but Bell has youth on his side and I feel is in the prime of his career now.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Very good team CF but surely KP/Bell/Hussey are better than Misbah
Also I wouldnt play Mahela outside Asia but in the subcontinent I agree that he is a must.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Misbah offers stablity in the middle order, and also i think bell is wasted at 6, and Trott at 3 is a must.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Is this the same Trott who has averaged barely 40 in 2011? Sorry, but he's ridiculously overhyped - a decent batsman who has only ever played in one of the worst eras in termas of bowling.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
KP is a shoe-in for any world XI, for me. He did suffer a dip in form but has since returned to look at his imperious best.
Re: what is your world test eleven?
How about, based on form over the last 12 months:
Cook
Smith(c)
Amla
Pietersen
Kallis
Bell
Prior(wk)
Bresnan
Steyn
Saeed Ajmal
Anderson

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Last 12 months I'd have Swann over Ajmal given the opposition faced and form for the most part of it. Other than that, maybe Broad ahead of Bresnan, but solid choices.
Re: what is your world test eleven?
Not one team has Sangakara in it!! Given his form over the last 2-3 years seems harsh. He could even keep wicket!

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Graeme smith is very underrated. However i do think that once both have finished their careers that cook will be better than smith
however they both have big technical flaws
Smith:Smith's bat comes down at a very awkward angle when playing the forward defsenvie
Cook: Has a real probelm against the swinging ball outside the off-stump

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Wasn't entirely sure there, in hindsight I'd probably switch them. Shakib was just the only lower order all rounder that I liked to be honest. There are probably better.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Yeah, your right there. I'd put him in at 6 sixth in that team though. Also Steyn was meant to be in my first team as well.

he only bats 5 because he plays for bangladesh tho

Re: what is your world test eleven?
I suppose the team selection will depend on where you play. So I will rather select 14 players and then depending on the ground and conditions my coach can select the matchday 11.
On current form.
Batsmen
Cook
Smith
Sangakarra
Amla
Tendulkar
Bowlers
Steyn
Anderson
Morkel
Swann
Khan
Wicket keepers.
Prior
de villiers
All Rounders
Kallis
Vettori.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
you can't have De Villiers as a keeper biltong, he doesn't keep in tests! Also, I agree that on current form Bell has to be considered surely? averages 100 in tests in 2011! Bresnan must be in with a shout too (Khan hasn't played much recently)

Re: what is your world test eleven?
I think Smith is the best opener in the world from among those who are still playing the game. But how on earth can he get in on current form?Apart from that one hundred in the Cape Town he hasnt done anything of not for the past year or so.
I'd pick Dravid as the opener.

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Well Smith hasn't really played much test cricket during the last year. However since Jan 2010 he has averaged 52.50 with the bat.
Chelsea, there aren't any wicket keepers in seriously decent form with the bat, and as de Villiers can keep, I selected him, as a back up to Prior

Re: what is your world test eleven?
Prasanna Jayawardene scored a couple of tons this year, hasn't he? Always an underrated batsman, but Prasanna's batting skills have gone up during the last couple of seasons

Re: what is your world test eleven?
I agree msp. Prassana is very underrated, and him being so good with the bat, allowed sri lanka to put him at 6, and play 5 bowlers against a classy pakistan bowling attack.
