100% Pure British Bulldog... with a large nutsack.

When we get moved and all sorted i'd love a chocolate labrador

My brother reckons I should get a dog. He reckons a bulldog type mutt... but the choc-lab is a great choice. Was thinking a rusty cattle dog/kelpie but they can get too rowdy sometimes.

Yes i want something that will be good with the kids , both me and the wife had labs growing up

No, the chocolate labs!

Ours were black labs but i have always wanted a chocolate one

The black has a nice contrast with the pink inside the mouths... tongue hanging out.

might settle for a stick insect

They're hard to find if they break out of the jar. They could be staring at you from anywhere!

yeh i was picking my teeth with one the other day

My sister was allowed to bring home the school stick insects for the summer holidays. She was so proud!  

My sister once brought home her school terrapins for the summer holidays and our dog ate one

The black lab? Were the rest of them OK?

We had a few eastern long-neck tortoises as pets for a few years. They were great. They slept all through winter - we'd just bung in some hay amongst the rocks next to the pond. It was all very cosy.

They'd stick their long necks out when the weather got warmer and used to graze around. They could move relatively large distances (across the garden) pretty quickly too. Turn your back on them and they're gone! We even called one of them Speedy Gonzales.

The dog and cat loved them.
OK, they might have got the odd paw into the leg/neck compartment or a quick lick on the shell but no murder mysteries for us.  
They were inquisitive but respectful and once in a while they'd have a rest under the trees together. A comical sight!

I'm just heading out to a new little restaurant nearby. I feel like some thai stirfry and a plate of spring rolls with that spicy hot sauce.

We went out lastnight to a little pub near the in-laws , i was tempted to have a thai green curry but then i saw the Cod Father on the menu and went for that instead

Well, it turns out that they were Vietnamese masquerading as Thais in that new little restaurant. Strange, because those 2 countries hate each other. Not so strange because this area has lots of Vietnamese... and hardly any Thais. I should have guessed...

Food was only 7/10 I'd say.

It was served on an oval plate with a heap on chips mushy peas wedge of lemon and tartar sauce , the fish must of been about 18 inches long and about 10 inches wide

It was lovely , it had that seaside fish taste if you know what i meen

Love that... that full on fresh fish from the ocean taste.
Bloody hot here today. Super hot inland. Nice fish eating weather though.

Autumn is coming here , the central heating has started to come on ....getting cold here

Try not to break it this winter.

Yes they do and seem to have a few players really in form .

Got tickets to the two PNG games at Craven Park and the one v NZ at Leeds and also for the England v Fiji at KC stadium

Great. Would love to be there. Some interesting match-ups.

Really looking forward to taking Owen to the live games , we are adopting PNG seeing as we now have 3 of them at Rovers
