Can someone explain to me how Jake Livermore is in the England squad? Surely cant be off performances this season?

Lallana I like, good player. Sterling I can see why they called up, because Jamaica are sniffing around him, but what does Nathan Dyer have to do to get the call?

I thought there was only one, San Diego @ Oakland, but I can't recall the Ravens playing yet so I reckon they will be playing against someone tonight...

Marky you must miss this lunatic managing your club.

"Following an Independent Regulatory Commission held on Wednesday 5 September 2012, Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has been given a six-match stadium ban and fined £3000.

Mr Evans was charged with using abusive and/or indecent and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a participant in or around the dressing room area at the end of the Bradford City versus Crawley Town Football League Two fixture on 27 March 2012. It was further alleged that the breach included a reference to gender, a breach of FA Rule E3(2). Mr Evans denied the charge and requested a personal hearing.

The Commission found that Mr Evans had used abusive and insulting words and behaviour towards a participant in or around the dressing room area at the end of the fixture which did include a reference to gender. The Commission did not find that Mr Evans had used indecent words or behaviour.

Mr Evans has informed The Football Association that he does not wish to appeal the decision and therefore the sanction is now imposed with immediate effect.

The stadium ban will prevent Mr Evans from attending the ground at which Rotherham United's first team are playing at any time during a match day. "

I wanted to get rid of M'Vila to be honest and having Arteta and Wilshere as well, it made sense to go for him. Lucas was just a bonus.

Lucas wont play again competitively while we're in this season. M'Vila is still a class DM. And Diaby did well for me, but he's behind Schweinsteiger and only played my last game as both my DM's were injured. Now i've got Toulalan and M'Vila as my DM's, and Schweinsteiger and Aquilani as my box to box CM's.

Just to bring this up again, and add to my argument.

M'vila's not even in the squad though is he?

The squad had Diaby, Mavuba, Matuidi and Capoue, so that suggests MVila is fifth choice at best.

That's because M'Vila is very one dimensional IMO. He's a good DM, but the rest of his game is limited. Plus, Diaby, Matuidi, Mavuba and Capoue play at bigger and more fashionable clubs so are bound to be picked first...

I thought Capoue was at Montpellier for some reason.

Ok, not Capoue, but definitely for Matuidi and Mavuba. Diaby isn't an out and out DM, more an all round CM anyway.

Last game Mavuba played DM and Diaby more box to box.

Capoue is more like M'Vila and Matuidi more like Diaby

Doesn't sound bad though. There is injured and there is having a knock. It doesn't sound bad. Still, at least the French manager is actually mentioning him. Whose M'Vila anyway? Pretty much a CDM and nothing else. A bruiser. I shouldn't throw stones Marky. It may come back to haunt you

Diaby isn't a CDM so you can't compare them. M'Vila is just a CDM and not much else. Diaby played and scored in his last international, and was quoted as being indispensable to the French side. M'Vila is just complaining about staying in Rennes and not getting his move, because no club could handle his attitude. Oh, and nowhere near the French team

Basically, M'Vila is just hype.

Well it is true. M'Vila was hyped on here. It came all the way from FL and Fan pairing him with Vidal, now all the way to Season 3 of this. Fact is, he could have gone in January but he nobody was willing to go for him even after all the the talk about a move (again hype). And he isn't even picked for the French squad in qualifying games. Not friendlies. And that was SQUAD not first team.

There are better CDM's out there, and it is lucky you are just using M'Vila as back up. Surely you would not be stupid enough to play him? Would you.......?

Surely the point is, how I would play him. Not if I would play him. Just playing him might work, playing him to his strengths might work better. It's the tactical nous like that which won me the Premier League title last season Ok!

I think his strengths largely revolve around standing still and hoping the other teams attackers run into him. Largely due to him having a turning circle larger than the average 12 wheeler. Surely the tactical nous you talk about is as soon as a lawyers come your way, to get rid of him. Only good for ready cash.

Well done to Murray, what a summer he has had! And now people can get off his back about winning a slam. It's like with Donald and Westwood in the golf - it's all they were talking about when he was mentioned.

Morning folks.

What a game that was last night. On chatbox, I had to make sure I kept looking away as the boys listening on Radio were ahead of the Sky coverage.

I was posting comments on points about a minute after the rest Laugh

Shall be having a sleepy day today, after getting to sleep at 2.30, my son decided that was the morning he would get up at 5.30!!!!

If I am not around, it's not because I am working but because I have drifted off

Children have an innate ability to get up early when you've had a late one, my two are zen masters at it.

Driving to work thinking about what I think the best XI is in the league now, on current form/ability. I did it excluding my players, although in all honesty, I don't think any of my players would get in anyway.

Here is my opinion, using the current favourite formation.

Casillas
Lahm---Ramos---Kompany---Alba
Toure----Xavi
Muller---Ozil---Sanchez
Neymar

Alves for Lahm and Marcelo for Alba were considered, whilst Benzema, Cavani and Higuain all run Neymar close

On ability Kompany would make it but not on form wise.

I have combined ability and form as best I could. It is ultimately on ability, but if it is tight, then form comes into it

Like I would have gone for Marcelo over Alba previously, but Alba's recent form takes him ahead at the moment for me

I'd have to throw Cole into the mix for the LB spot.

If you can't pick your own players, what would your XI be Hero?

Also with Cole, I feel he just behind Marcelo and Alba. For me Marcelo has been the best LB in the world for a couple of seasons, whilst Alba in the last 9 months has been immense as well.

I also considered ALves at RB and Lahm at LB, but I prefer Lahm at RB
