prizefighter 7th may
i thought seen as ive booked ringside tickets for this i may as well find out people what think of this heavyweight prizefighter?
all ready confirmed are:-
michael sprott
mike "the rebel" perez
fast hands fres
kevin johnson
Konstantin Airich
just wondered people's thoughts on the line up so far and predictions who will beat who? also who else do you think will enter prizefighter?
personally i think fast hands fres is in with a shout, but you never know with heavyweights, there are some big hitters in there.
£60 for inner ringside seemed great value for me and im massivly looking forwards to my first live professional boxing show.

Would love to go to prizefighter it's good value for money. This should be a good one. I think Johnson might win it. Heard a rumour Rahman might be in it because the Fury fight never happened.

rahman would be great- i've got a feeling someone like harrison is going to end up in it- still be worth it to see him getting Ko'd.
normal tickets were only £35, which i thought was dirt cheap.
ive not heard or seen much from the german, but he has 13 KOs from 16 wins and no draws/losses. maybe one to watch as well

He has 3 losses and 2 draws.
His fight with Danny Williams is essential viewing.

think fast hands fres looks good (think he owes booth/hayes a beer for getting him in), he's been in with some quality opponents.

Ringside tickets £30 (Plus £10 extortion) on viagogo but not sure if the site is safe.

For the sake of boxing - I hope Perez or Johnson wins.
The others ARE all journeymen.

Perez is unbeaten, how is he a journeyman?

Re: prizefighter 7th may
Think that oxring was saying that Perez WASN'T a journeyman.
Mind you, the definition of journeyman in boxing is anyone's guess. Undefeated British Champ Chisora was described as one recently. Seems like it just means 'any boxer who isn't right at the top' these days.

Where is this Prizefighter being held? £60 seems a very decent price.

Re: prizefighter 7th may
that ref was awful.
If he hadnt have given the standing counts to Williams, the German would have beaten him.
It was farcical and although the bell ringer was on the Germans side, the ref actually cost him the fight.

Re: prizefighter 7th may
i can't believe he started counting airich out after a low blow then took 2 points of williams after he beat the count

Re: prizefighter 7th may
I watched Airich lose to a fat social worker, who then lost to a guy making his boxing debut in a prizefighter style tournament in Denmark. Niko Falin won - and he didn't look too bad.
But anyway - given Airich's failure to win against that class of opposition, it would be a brave man to back him here.

Yep. Did you tune in? The commentary was pretty dire; but some of the action was OK.
Falin lookedlike he might make an upper-middling level Heavyweight - reasonable balance, punches in bunches, good conditioning, good power. Reminded me of a James Thunder type.
Awful loss for Airich against whatever that fat social worker's name was.
I had a look at boxrec - but it doesn't seem to count the fights as ever having taken place? Was that unsanctioned action then?

Think I watched the one previous and it was terrible. The winner had been beaten by Chagaev previously?
Don't know, Prizefighter counts so not sure why it wouldn't.

This time the winner was making his pro debut. I kid you not.
