Congratulations to London Welsh

The Sunday drive home after I drop my kids of with their mother always cause me to think about life. Today a variety of things were going through my brain, most of them downright depressing. Frankly the world right now seems a damned unpleasant place and even my safe place of Rugby seems to offer no consolation.

My Gran came to mind. She was a fairly simple sort, who at times tended to live by Forrest Gump style mottos. She always told me "If you cannot say anything nice, say nothing at all" and "Never let the door close on an argument". So as one door closes I need to let something go. For a variety of reasons I may have been rather mealy mouthed about London Welsh.

So here goes:

Congratulations on being promoted. To win the championship play-offs is an incredible achievement.
Congratulations on your first win today. You proved many critics, including me, absolutely wrong.
May this win prove to be the first of many as you continu to prove critics, again including me, wrong.

It has been fun.

Re Welsh... I was almost excited thinking HERSH had the galls to post this... bravo!

Tiger life is full of highs and lows. The lows make you recognise the magnificence of the highs.

Well said above. It was a great day for LW. Can't see them winning the AP but at least they won't be nilled this season.

I think now is a good time to go back and imagine people eating their words.
