Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
I only caught the second half of Real/City which seemed fortunate because that's where all the action was! I don't know what it is but it seems like Hart doesn't make the spectacular saves. He's a very solid keeper, but he isn't one to make the incredible game saving stops.
I saw the first half of the Arsenal game. They look like a very cohesive unit at the moment, so much better than last year. Arteta is a massive player, Diaby is in form and Podolski isn't flopping.

Hart made quite a few great stops in the first half on the numerous occasions that Ronaldo waltzed past Maicon onto his right and hit the shot.
He also pulled off one amazing save when Higuain got his head onto a Ronaldo shot on the edge of the 6 yard box

Morning
I always wanted to see Toure vs Essien, sadly it wasn't the Essien of old he just got killed by Toure who went past him like it's nothing.
Anyoen up for a deal I'm after a striker and left winger?

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
A couple of years ago Essien would have probably tried to break his legs. Pretty rotten tackler at times, Essien.

I wouldn't say that's a pair of wingers who's going to whip a ball in the box tbh

Agree with Nando, narrow wingers that would be suited more to what you had already with Tevez than trying to beat the man on the outside and whip over to Giant Gonzalez.

No offence intended to Crouchie, but that does feel a bit like topping a Gordon Ramsey tiramisu with chunks of crap.

Its not always about the wingers crossing for Crouch, he can hold the ball up, lay it off, be a great target man, win headers from setpieces and also be in the box when the fullbacks overlap and cross.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
Plus Crouch can't actually head very well. It's like his head is 20p shaped and he just puts it in the way of the ball and hopes it deflects in the right direction.
What you needed was someone like Dzeko, Fellaini or Carroll. A really strong header of the ball.
I can imagine that is Pepe coped with Tevez IRL last night, Crouch would be a walk in the park.

The funny shaped head thing is actually called Harewood Syndrome. It's an unfortunate affliction that renders crosses to a striker as futile, or hopeful at best.

The only thing that surprises me is that Crouchie doesn't shut his eyes as the ball approaches

He went to China a while back, to show a developing super power how to miss chances with the best of them.
He came back to England with someone and I presume he is still knocking about somewhere. I can't believe that we sold Zamora but kept him...

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
I actually think you're overly harsh on Crouch Afro.
He would trouble Pepe, the way Crouch leans on CB's and Pepe's short fuse means he would give away freekicks frequently by going through the back of Crouch. He wouldn't beat him in the air, and Crouch's heading ability isn't as bad as you make out.

As England manager, who would you pick out of Crouch and Carroll? And what would your 4 strikers be right now?
I think I'd go Rooney, Defoe, Carroll, Bent.

I'd probably go for Carroll over Crouch but mainly based on their ages. Carroll being about 10 years younger than Crouch!
Rooney, Defoe, Welbeck, Carroll.

Crouch is just known for being tall, that's it. He gets the odd goal but is massively overhyped for me.

I'd have Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck, Carroll. If Bent gets back to scoring ways then have him in the squad.

I'd prefer Crouch over Carroll he scores goals.
Welbeck, Defoe, Crouch and Bent.
An why do you have Rooney in your side, he is injured

I think Crouch is very effective on the deck for such a big man, but I would fancy my chances as a defender that if i could jump with him and put pressure on him. Without a clean header, his threat would be limited.

I meant the 4 best strikers at the moment, not whether they can play a match tomorrow.
I forgot Welbeck actually. He's half won me round with his overall play, but he needs to be alonside a proper goalscorer because I'm not convinced by his composure and finishing.

I agree with that on Welbeck Sod.
He is a handful and must be a nightmare to play against, but ultimately I wouldn't have confidence that he is going to finish

Many thanks lads. I didnt think of it on my own to be fair, me and a mate came up with it during pub quiz one week, general knowledge round had a question on Zidane followed by a Sophie Ellis Bextor question, being drunk it just came together and now we use it as our pub quiz team name.
Ill get to all your offers shortly. Would like to say Neymar is not for sale unless someone gives me a redonkulous offer.

Gameweek 4, Season 3
The links are correct
They are in by midnight, and must be no longer than 15-20 lines of text, plus a couple of lines for a team talk.
You may want to check how others do their tactics to be sure how to do them.

No, that is only for cup games, where anyone aged 21 counts, and you need three.
But the league has no restrictions.
