I think the Turkish fans are amongst some of the worst in Europe, along with the fans of an Italian club (Roma?) who went out their way to stab fans of an English club.
Edit: Not all Turkish fans, just ones of certain clubs. I suppose there are clubs in every country who have despicable "fans".

They are particularly venomous by the look of it though. The worst part of that article was the admission that a copper smacked Cantona down some stairs!

Definitely. I remember seeing something on TV about that. The Man U players were locked in the changing rooms for hours until it was safe to leave. Staggering.

Galatasaray 0-5 Chelsea in 1999 was the funniest result ever. All these vile Galatasaray fans, with their "Welcome to Hell" signs, silenced and absolutely battered.

The English FA have done their best to accomodate the Serbian U21 squad for the U21 playoff between the two countries. They have provided a venue to remind the players of the tough times their fathers had to go through in war torn Yugoslavia.

Apparently they had to lock them in because Cantona wanted to go back out and kill the man that hit him. He was serious about it too.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
This is madness. Never knew this till now:
- Spoiler:
- Then, in a rather different sense than usual, United took the result on the chin. "I was just about to thank the policeman when he punched Eric. Eric stumbled down a couple of steps, so I turned to throw a punch at the copper," wrote Robson. "As I did, a shield smashed into the back of me. I fell down a few steps, bashing my elbow against the wall. Eric wanted to go back up and fight, but by then the other lads were coming down the steps and calmed us down."
Robson needed six stitches in his elbow. Parker was also clouted down a few steps, where Schmeichel broke his fall. ("I am never going back to Turkey," said Parker in Glory Glory! "Never.") United's players did not start it, but nor were they a group of pacifists. "We had a few who could look after themselves," said Bruce. "We gave as good as we got."
They almost gave a bit more. "In the dressing room Eric went crazy," says Keane in his autobiography. "While the rest of us just wanted to get out of there, he was determined to go back outside to sort out the rogue cop who'd been wielding his truncheon. Eric was a big, strong lad. He was serious. He insisted he was going to kill 'that Frak'. It took the combined efforts of the [assistant] manager, Brian Kidd, and a few of the players to restrain him. Normally I wouldn't have backed off a fight, but even I wasn't up for this one. There were a lot of Turks out there!"

I remember that result for the simple fact that it won me alot of money. In school we used to run a book on the match. 0-0 up to 5-5, every possible result, 50p a go. I picked 2-1 and 5-0 and couldn't believe my luck the next morning!

Manwhore would be a kind term in fairness. Sl@g would be appropriate. I made it my New Year's Resolution one year to nail a different girl each week for the following year. I managed it.

I don't think much has changed. But then I am spectacularly poor at chatting up girls. There must be something about you Macclesfield lads, I mean look at Crouch, he is punching a million miles above his weight...even with the money.
The last four words of that comment are definitely a euphemism, though.

I think with the area as well then there's always been a lot of women that think they're pulling someone with a fair bit of wonga, my mate was really quite loaded through his parents so we were both early 20's turning up in Alderley Edge & Wilmslow in his Dad's car and a Platinum Visa splashing the cash like a right pair of twonks to get our leg over for the night with some dollybird.

Afternoon,
I have a favour to ask, can anyone recommend Sky broadband? I'd prefer to go with Virgin Media as I know them and think they're pretty good.
Sky offer a beat deal over the year but it's only by a couple of quid.

I've had Sky broadband for ages and I've never once had a problem (that wasn't my laptop's fault)
My parents have it too, and it's never let them down either

Virgin!
Sky broadband isn't really worth the money when you factor in that you need to have a phone line as well. If they have firbe optic broadband in your area you shouldn't need one.

I was with Sky for 5 years. Never had any problems, but Virgin was so much easier to setup. Did it all online, got loads of discount, no issues whatsoever and it's fast. I'm getting around 30mb at times.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
I have Sky Broadband and I switched from BT last year. I now have all phone, TV and Broadband in one package and it works out quite a decent price. I think I pay £90 which gives me every possible channel (incl ESPN), Broadband, my line rental and my calls.
I've not had any trouble so far and one of the big pluses for us is that we then get Sky Anytime+ which we use a lot.

Thanks for the feedback!
The missus and I are about to move into our new place on Saturday (finally!!) and it's my job to get everything sorted. When I was living with people from my uni last year we had TalkTalk and I thought they were rubbish and at my mums house we have Virgin Media and she's had no problems.
But sadly, our flat can't receive fibre optic so we'd have to go through the phone line. But that's not a problem

How on earth they didn't go for him in the summer I don't know when they had the only striking options of Torres and Sturridge.

It doesn't in the article, but it makes perfect sense when (I) look at it. 1 misfiring striker. 1 world class striker. 1 club with more money than sense. 1 club crippled with debt. 1 ring to rule them all.

Ah now I see your point.
You are right that me and Hero are more likely to be in the "pulled" category than the "puller" one.

Is it true that if you wrap Cling Film across your body before you start to run or cycle it helps you lose weight?
I don't know if I believe that, I think it's water that you are losing and you'll pick that weight up as soon as you drink or eat something.
Bodybuilders or fitness freaks please help

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXX
In Paul Gascoigne's autobiography, he said he used black bin bags under his clothes to help sweat more when he ran, to get fit in time to start the season at Lazio.
Apparently it worked, but I wouldn't recommend it. He also had a diet of mostly water and a chicken sandwich every few days during that time.
