how important do you consider football in your life?
Hey people. Football is only a game.. right?
well not for some saddo's (me) i seriously consider football a huge part of my life, and honestly cant go a day without wanting to either play it or watch it, or play fifa or football manager. so im doing a poll, and want to know how important you consider football in your life.

Re: how important do you consider football in your life?
These last couple of seasons I've grown frustrated with it. I used to live for the game, renewing my season ticket every year at old Trafford but I just can't afford that now
Since I've stopped going the games week in week out my interest has remained but it is nowhere near as important in my life as it used to be. I guess my answer would be a cross between middle and bottom choices, there's just way too much money in the game now and not enough loyalty to both the clubs and their fans

I went for the middle option, when I was able to play I would have put it much higher. I had to stop playing 3 years ago due to injury and havent been back to my old club since. When I played I did so every saturday and sunday and would go and watch Bury FC whenever I wasnt. Now I have started to watch Rugby League and find this to be probably more entertaining overall as it is a much quicker game and nobody dives! Still do love the mighty shakers though

I used to absolutely hate football when I was young, then I really, really got into it but just now my interest has gone a bit. Of course I'll still watch it but football has never been, and never will be, my absolutely favourite sport. However, after getting ESPN and Sky and being able to watch football from different countries more regularly than just reading about games online, it's helped keep my interest up.
All the cheating and diving and off-pitch incidents that occur with some current footballers (*cough* Biscuits *cough*) really puts me off it. I'm definitely more inclined to support an individual over a team.

I like to play but couldn't care less about the professional game.

Outwith my own team who I go see week in week out home and away, I'm not to fussed, I used to absolutely love the game in the 90s but there's just to much money in the game now, we as fans are seen as customers to a product now and for me that just doesn't sit well

Went for the middle option. My kids come before any club, game or tournament.
No longer play but still enjoy watching either a big EPL game or some overweight sods down the local park.

I'm a fan of the occassion rather than the actual watching of a match on TV.
I enjoy the pre/post match ritual for home games and away games involve sitting on a bus and drinking, whats not to like.
Can't beat the feeling of a local derby. I like the annomosity between fans, gives the feel of the game a tribal nature. Suppose fans like Fulham dont experence that.
Other than the death of a family member, I would not be missing a home or away game. Surprisingly, my woman actually doesn't mind me spending so much time or money on football, got her well trained.

Being 17, and (currently) not having a girlfriend to occupy me, football is a pretty big part of my life. I like playing with my mates, just a kick around, but I love going to live games to watch Norwich whether it be home or away
