Countries for Reboot

Zidane - Italy
Russell - Germany
Treble - Germany
Marky - Spain
Nadeem - England

Hero - Spain
Gregers - Spain
Fernando - England
Sodhat - Italy
Twist - Germany
Viva - England

New Player - Spain

Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

Bloomin' hell.

Crawley Town being predicted to beat Swansea tomorrow, some even suggesting we have an advantage as we're at home, on a narrow pitch etc. I thought cup upsets were meant to be upsets?!

That was probably the biggest deal I've ever done in the league then Marky OK

Osvaldo I actually rate but didn't want to let on, scored 4 goals this season in RL including a stunning bicycle kick.

Marky certainly did better squad wise but I also improved my first team.
I swapped out Hummels to bring in Kompany and Moura to bring in Sanchez essentially.
He gains the Dortmund centre back pairing whilst I gain the Man City spine of Kompany & Toure, also get the Barca link up of Xavi and Sanchez.

I rate Osvaldo too but Villa is an improvement. De Rossi is an improvement on M'Vila. Moura isn't as good as Sanchez and while Kompany is better than Hummels, I left Kompany out last week anyway Laugh

IMO

Villa > Osvaldo
Hummels > Kompany
De Rossi > M'Vila (De Rossi has been poor for 2 years, but he is better than Mvila)
Moura << Sanchez

I think Hero has essentially weakened his squad and defence a little, but improved his attack a lot

Thoughts on Salvatore Sirigu? I've just signed him in TP's (subject to no-one else having him) as Handanovic is injured and my backup GK is an unknown U21, seeing as the cup is abandoned I got a better backup!

Sirigu is a really good keeper, but then I think Gabriel would have been a sufficient back-up. But if you have money to spend and nothing else to spend it on, you wouldn't have got much of a better keeper in TPs

Pretty much my thinking.

The only position of player readily available in TP's is goalkeepers so worth spending money on when it wouldn't have been in Season 1.

Maybe we could turn it into a cup competition which last two weeks? Compromising it.

So it's top 4 in PL
Bottom 4 in PL
Top 4 in Championship
Bottom 4 in Championship

Would take two gameweeks to end it, semi finals this weekend and a final next weekend. Then the whole game would be over in two weeks.

I would be amazed if it was outside those 3. You have a decent side Treb's, but those three's teams are up another level. Normally you could gain by tactics, but everyone is that league puts the effort in that that is not going to separate you and it comes down to the players

Too many years, have come and gone
This is our time, to prove them wrong
We'll win, if we stand strong
Wouldn't that be unbelievable.

Some say, that we're not good enough
But with, a little bit of luck
We can bring home the cup
Wouldn't that be unbelievable!
