Countries for Reboot

Zidane - Italy
Russell - Germany
Treble - Germany
Marky - Spain
Nadeem - England
Olly - Italy
Hero - Spain
Gregers - Spain
Fernando - England
Sodhat - Italy
Twist - Germany
Viva - England
Afro - Italy
Bull - Germany
New Player - Spain
Tooze - England

Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

This is a repeat of TSJs poll, but it is an official poll that allows everyone to decide whether we reboot immediately or wait.

I'm on the fence between wanting to see what I can do this season and wanting everyone to be happy and enjoying. So I will reboot as that seems the general mood.

Ending the season now would be stupid. Its four lots of tactics! Maybe its an idea to hurry it up, two matches a week so we finish quicker. But how impatient are some of you? Really?

I'd say have this week (League week 4) as it is, then go League week 5 with tactics due Monday and results/injuries Wednesday, Week 6 next Thursday with results/injuries on the Sunday, and finally Week 7 the following Monday with results by Wednesday. Two weeks and its done. Abandon lawyers offers if it'll save time. But there's still league titles to win.

Completely agree Marky. I'm not sure you can do it like that though, as the timeframe wouldn't fair as it'd be impossible on me with work and stuff.

I think the playoffs idea gets it done in the same timeframe and only has games against rivals, thus saving time.

Problem with your playoff idea is that as I'm 5th yet only 3 points off the top, you're ruling me out of the title race. I'm not sure you'd be promoting this idea if you weren't 4th.

One thing to take into account for all this discussion on reboots etc is that we CANNOT do a draft without a replacement for TSJ so it's a mute point unless we find a new person.

We can't draft until we get a new manager ,which makes it all a bit irrelevant,. No point finishing early to then have to wait 4 weeks for a 16th player.

Isn't there still promotion to the Prem to win?

I'd imagine that regardless of the reboot, the managers who finish Top 4 in each league are in next season's Premier League and the bottom 4 in each are in the Championship.

We're considering having it so that there are just England, Germany, Italy and Spain as the options and therefore 4 lots of 4.
Having some countries only with 1 player it means that that team has basically a quarter of their team that they can NEVER trade on, which is quite unfair to be honest.

I'd have liked the multiple countries and not many people raised an issue with the country they received but looking at it I think by being stuck with 6 players that you can't trade to anyone else would make it badly stacked against those so by having 4 of each it creates mini rivalries for players and allows trades to happen.

Problem is though Nadz is that you have a cap on the cost of the players you could bring in so you'd be having to bring in the lesser known Russians.
The ones basically that no-one has heard of and will probably never see.
