Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

Clarification: Betting players or money between 2 clubs is strictly prohibited

There is no maximum bid.

You can only bid on players worth £12m or less on TM value website, but you can bid as much as you want for them.

For star players, the limit is obviously £25m as that is all you have

If I went for Joe Hart, for example, in the TM website he is rated 20.5m. In the main draft say I have 20m left over. Could I then bid, say, 30m for Joe Hart if I so wished?

Any normal budget or star player budget that is left over is then added to your kitty for the start of the season.

No. Anyone over £12m would have to be bought using your one star player allocation, and you can only use your £25m star player budget to buy star players.

At least that is my understanding. Hero, Sod?

You can only bid up to £25m on one player above £12m. The rest have to be below £12m.

Which means everyone is going to look for player around the £20m + and just wack it up to £25m using the money on one player. What happens if two managers bid £25m for one player?

The draft on the normal squads is done first.
This is fully concluded BEFORE the Star Player draft.

Any remaining money from the normal draft can be used in the Star Player Draft but you can still only bid for ONE star player and they can have a maximum value of 25m
So for example you may have 0.2m left after the normal draft.
You can therefore bid upto 25.2m on a Star Player that has a TM value of up to 25m.

Or, you could do the maximum 25m bid.

Then, if two managers both bid for the same player, either one can pull out, or a bidding war ensues.
