Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:
1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.
To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.
Viva therefore wins.
ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m
Clarification: Betting players or money between 2 clubs is strictly prohibited

Overall summary - Tettey and Butterfield looked good. We still cannot finish our chances for some reason. Hopefully Kane aint injured for too long. And Chris Martin literally played worse than a Sunday League Footballer.
Great, thanks Olly.

Because you didn't ask? I even made that point yesterday but the only comment was how Afro and Nando will have a top two match as they were quite clear of 3rd.

Fair enough, thought we weren't having any, although think me and Elmo still might have been able to catch Afro and Nando, especially Elmo

Your probably right Olly. Here is the table...
The game is more because me and Nando have identical records
Team | Pts | GF | GA | GD |
Barearselona | 9 | 9 | 1 | +8 |
Liege | 9 | 9 | 1 | +8 |
Eagles | 5 | 7 | 4 | +3 |
Holton | 4 | 6 | 5 | +1 |
Nadrid | 4 | 5 | 5 | - |
Zidane | 3 | 4 | 5 | -1 |
City of Norwich | 0 | 2 | 10 | -8 |

Ironic...........
Start a new season, and Giroud (who I have bigged up for ages) finally scores a goal. And a really good one at that.

Got my tactics up.
Looks like Me vs Marky is the final...the other teams haven't turned up at their stadium for their match.
They're scared of us Marky.

Mouse submitted his tactics first. He's been sat in the changing rooms for 2 days. I'm just holding on to them until Hero posts his.
Looks like Hero is scared though, he has been desperately trying to sign players from other clubs with nothing to play for.

I should think such devious tactics are banned!
Although if he then beat me/Marky/Trebs, we'd all be able to say he didn't really win...

I've worked on the basis that transfers have now stopped as there are teams not playing. But Hero is scared that he now has M'Vila, so he is trying to beef his team up a bit

I'm happy with my side in fairness, I'd probably have kept it the same through the entire season if we'd have carried on.
I hope someone can name the song I referenced in my tactics. If not they'll just think I was trying to get deep with my players.

I think we should abstain actually, otherwise we could influence who we may play and that doesn't seem right.
Good luck to you too, always going to be a pick 'em.

How can you have the result of the draft if other people may still outbid you?
Currently the result is....
You possibily have some of your players.

Phew! Got tomorrow afternoon off as Virgin coming to install new Broadband & two TiVo boxes and the Mrs is out tomorrow night so was going to make a concerted effort to actually be something approaching half decent at the game as my 6 year old is wanting to start playing it and seeing his Wii skills I reckon he's going to thrash me!

That would be up to Hero and him having the time to do them before the deadline guys.
But I don't think GSC will be able to do them today if I remember rightly, so you'll have to practice your patience. Do the patience dance.

My 61-year old boss asked me about Fifa the other day. He said he might buy it having never played any console games ever before. I was weirded out to ever hear him ask.

If they are in then they'll be released as soon as I can go through them and sort them out. At present though I'm still waiting on several of the teams to come in.
It is not though a quick task to sort through 16 sets of up to 25 players (400 players) and work out who gets what.
