Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:
1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.
To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.
Viva therefore wins.
ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m
Clarification: Betting players or money between 2 clubs is strictly prohibited

I remember getting into an argument with Tranq after he left the Bolton manager role and his replacement was CF, I was trying my hardest to acquire Aguero off him and Tranq butted in telling CF not to deal.

Mid-meeting, popped out for a snack. Cadburys Tasters. I've put on about 3 stone since the Furious League btw
I got Smarts banned twice for racism, he kept calling me a suicide bomber and stuff. Not that I minded, but you have to keep these kids on the level...
Ronny was a funny guy. Definitely my number two manager, behind my main man Viva. You noobs do know that Afro is a mid-40s bald guy right?

Sodhat the first thing I look into a league when I join is the managers, if I can have a laugh with them like I do with you guys I'll join, the actual game comes second to me.
Like some of the stuff Marky said today about Bull being 45 and renting out a room in his house, I was dying with laughter. I could never join the leagues that constantly talk about the game and doing deals or rating players, it's so damn serious and if you ever try to bring up another topic they'll just ignore it.
Old 606 and 606v2 are both great in their own ways, I'm happy to have been part of both of them and long may this website continue.

Tactics now are better than back then, I know, I looked them up.
The overall standard is much higher now as well. Therefore this era is tougher. And I'm the current Premier League Champion, making me the greatest manager ever in these leagues.

Viva, you'd better have bid for Paul Scholes. If we don't have him as our midfield linchpin, we're doomed.

Can't actually argue with that, although the player knowledge was better back in the day. This league has far better players in it, which makes it easier to win.
BTW does that make Russ the best assistant manager ever

A newer improved version of his creation came into existence and it put his to shame with far less arguments taking place.

It's good to be back. The amount of posts you guys get through in 15mins is something else! Back on 606 it took forever to have a conversation. By the time you'd all said good morning it'd be home time

That's 31,000 posts in three seasons. We took more than my missus.
Although in fairness, 1000 of those posts are league related questions, 3000 are CF saying LOL and 5271 are Bull asking if Hero has done the drafts yet

Anyone else bored of the John Terry racism thing? Everyone knew the FA were gonna ban him to counter balance his not guilty verdict, its not a shock, its not breaking news, everyone's seen the words Terry used regardless of the context, I think Terry should accept the ban, miss 4 games and move on. And maybe be careful about what he says in future.

Doesn't sound like something John Terry would do. He's a self obsessed idiot IMO, so is never going to accept blame for anything

I remember Mr Brains being one of the options for CF actually. He was talking about which one to accept. I don't know if he realised it was an intentional veiled dig or not...
