Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

After Fergie complained about Chris Foy this weekend, he has for totally unrelated reasons I am sure, been demoted to refereeing in League 2 this weekend. Isn't that interesting.

To be fair he did make mistakes, United didn't get a penalty with the Nani incident, Friedel should have been booked for time-wasting, and there should have been at least six minutes injury time

Being one of the elder members, I have not used vulgarity so as to set the mature example.

However, my son is just at the age where burp and fart noises are the funniest things ever and I am quite enjoying the moment

Morning ladies. Busy day at work...but allow me to congratulate United on yet another jammy, undeserved victory relying on one man to get the job done. Great finish on the second mind...

Viva and I have sent in our second draft, and are patiently awaiting the successful outcome. If anyone wants Claus Lundekvam, you'd better put a decent bid in Cool

How do you guys want to split the teams if the results turns out as a draw? How about if it is a draw, the most teams equals a penalty victory?

Laugh typical ABU. United dominated pssesion. Defence was shakey yes. Keeper made some good saves. Relying on one man...No! RVP is a striker, he is paid copious amounts of money to do his job as a striker. Rooney isnt an out and out goal scorer like RVP, he is a more well rounded football player (in physical sense too) and he supplied RVP for both goals. United relyed on De Gea to do his job and stop shots, he did just that. Team game Azzy, you should know that.

United were poor though, be honest. Against a stronger side, they would probably have been beaten

If that winger hadn't gone of injured, when Evra was getting a pasting, the result could easily have been different.

I am willing to do that, although based on how speedily votes came in on the games, it might just delay the final more.

It is entirely up to the four of you how you want to do it.

I've explained how it's been done previously in admin Afro.

I didn't see the United match, but if Evra was poor again, surely his time must be up? He's been terrible for a long while.

This is the official approach if you don't want to do penalties

If it's a draw, it's who has the most win votes that wins on pens.

If that still has a draw, it's the most goals.

United were porr yes, to their standards. Evra got lucky with that winger going off. But the team did what they had to do, 3 pointsd away from home in Europe is a good result, considering they didnt get out of first gear its a cracking result.

Buttner will replace Evra soon enough.
Grinds my gears when people say RVP is carrying us. We pay him truck loads of money to score. Hes hitting form at the moment. Im sure at some point he could have a dry patch but with our attacking talent someone else will score.
It wont be an Arsenal situation where no one else could score, if RVP didnt score Arsenal genrally didnt do well.
Its just typical ABU's, last season because Rooney scored the majority of out goal he carried us, everyone ignores the fact that Welbeck & Chicharito hit double figures last season & even Berba, with limited games, was one goal short of double figures.

I don't know what ABU is, but it sounds dodgy Laugh

Possession counts for nothing these days. It's vastly over-rated. Their defence was shoddy, better going forwards than actually defending, and will get ripped apart by better teams than Cluj. Rooney looked fat and unfit (he really is turning into Gazza), and if it wasn't for RVP's brilliance, they'd have been embarrassed by Cluj.

Although it's a team game, I don't rate this United team. It's defence can't get fit, what's left is poor, the midfield is ancient or plodding, it's wingers have lost their form, and all United's hopes are being pinned on Rooney and RVP. For all Fergie's spending these last 2 years, the team is markedly worse than it was 2 years ago.

Anyone
But
United

Azzy, you write United off. The defence has injuries yes, cant get fit is a bit unfair, I mean none of them are like the Jack Wil-something lad. 14 months without being able to get fit is what you call unable to get fit.

The midfield will be ok, Fletch back is great, Cleves looks good as does Ando. They need to play more and bigger games, they need more trust from the manager in those situations.

Wingers have lost form after 6 games of the season, you're like some inept ITV pundit Azzy Laugh

United arent playing great at the moment, but we are still up there. I believe they will produce when they need to.

slightly hypocritical for anyone to call anyone else an ABU

Its been a known phrase for many a years Marky. Im not anti Chelsea , in Europe I want all English teams to do well up till the popint they face Man United.
I was happy Chelsea won the CL last season, English clubs did poor last year so it was great of them to represent.
Re Prem League, I respect them as a competitor, I obvoiously dont want them winning the league ahead of Man United, FA Cup too.
My dislike for Liverpool is for obvious reasons. Arsenal is due to there deluded fans & to some extent West Ham as they think there a big club but they are not. Sorry Soddy.

Morning guys

Evra has been horrible since 2010, he has too much of an ego we have to drop him, it's not because he is poor he just don't have the hunger anymore when defending, he won't bust a gut to stop the cross, it's so easy to beat him on the outside he has always struggled against quick, small wingers, it was that little turd Aaron Lennon who started it off, I can remember Gio (From 606) bringing it up back then. I still love Evra, a very passionate man but it is time to drop him but I can see him having a fit if he is dropped.

United haven't looked good at all this season, attacking wise yeah decent but defensively it's been a bit of a nightmare, it don't help when you can't get a settled back four. It's looking like another season where United grind out wins because of the mentality never say die atttidue Sir Alex has instilled in the club and players a bit like when we won our last title rather then the ability and talent of the players.

I don't think Arsenal fans are any more deluded than any other. Every football fan I have ever met is biased and slightly deluded about their own team. We all think our own players are better than other team's fans think they are.

Viva is probably the most objective fan I have seen when it comes to his own team.

Also ABU is only a phrase coined by United fans who think everyone is against them. It's slightly arrogant because most fans are happy to see all English clubs do well in Europe and don't single out United at all. At the end of the day, although it is good to see them do well, I couldn't care less whether it is United, Chelsea, Arsenal or West Ham who win the Champions League

You dont know ones I know, have the ones I have on my twitter.
I know some that believe Jack Wil-whatever is a world class player even tho he hasnt played for 14 months. You have to admit thats quite silly.
Also there attitude they its their god given right to win a trophy when in the realness there is no reason why they should. Claim to play the best football in the league, not exactly true, several teams IMO play better football then Arsenal.

It is all opinions tho, thats what makes it a beautiful game and its what makes rivalries, passion from fans.

I don't think Arsenal play "the best" style of football, but they do play the most attractive style of football. And when it works, they're great to watch. But for many seasons they were vulnerable to the Boltons, Stokes and to an extent, Chelseas of the world, because those sides would use their physical side to gain an advantage and there was nothing Arsenal could do to stop it.
