I love how Azzy is critically analysing all the teams, yet he is responsible for Viva beginning the season with David Beckham and a host of Baggies in his squad. Azzy is still playing the game from two years ago and Viva is already playing catch up

I think you missed the pun!
But we won't go 0-5, we are happy to be the Milan Vikings. The surprise package.

Re: Atalanta Falcons
Ain't nobody hyping us up. We're the Vikings, the Colts, the little guys that everyone (Azzy) is doing down, but we will rise from the flames like a phoenix, and we will snatch undeserved draws, and benefit from refereeing mistakes.
Because we're the Falcons, and we believe.
Now, I need to edit that down to a few words to fit it on the club crest.

Beckham and Gera won't be playing, while Odemwingie has scored 26 goals in the Prem in 60 games playing for a mediocre team. But being that I have excellent eyes, that would be an expensive way of making my vision irreparably worse.

Re: Atalanta Falcons
I'd sooner have my team than your Azzy and I think I speak for the remaining 14 teams too.
Viva knows the rated players on here and not you, yet the team appears to have a big Azzy influence on it. You are already showing with posts like this that you are out of touch with how people on this league think and vote...

Re: Atalanta Falcons
If Olly's keepers are rated that highly, then you're all mad. They've got zilch experience. Have barely played. Haven't even had their first shave. For every ten keepers their age with ability, only 1 makes it. Give me Brad Friedel over either of them.BigFellasAfro wrote: You are already showing with posts like this that you are out of touch with how people on this league think and vote...
But if I'm out of touch, then I'll step back and let Viva handle everything. Because if voting is cast based on future potential, we may as well have signed the Arsenal Under 16s. They all go on to play for Barca

You're just proving Afro's point even more
Keepers don't actually make that much of a difference when voting I have found
Also just because me keepers are young, and don't play in Serie A, doesn't mean they can't catch a ball, and save a shot.

Keepers have very little impact on the voting in these leagues. noone is saying whether Olly's keepers are rated, but unless you have a real dud of a keeper, then it makes little impact on results. Therefore, it is a waste spending anymore than you need to on a keeper.
The game is all about other managers opinions on the players. The opinions on here are quite different from the old 606. And it's not based on future potential, but the knowledge is a lot broader than in other leagues I have been in in the past. Viva knows who is rated to be fair to him, so I was surprised with some of his selections

Re: Atalanta Falcons
I'd argue that having two unproven teenage goalies would go against you every time. But that's just my out-of-touch opinion.
I see that this has become some kind of cool kids' club, where you all pretend you've watched Lille vs Bordeaux and seen x player do xyz. I think if we're all honest, we'd find that half our players are pretty under-scouted by everyone.

I don't pretend to watch many other games in foreign leagues hence why I have made sure most of my players are from England

In truth, I think most are honest with who they have seen, but also a lot make a big effort to find out about players. As with any league, CL and Premier League players will get the better exposure. And to a lesser extent La Liga (thanks to Sky) and Bunesliga (thanks to ITV) get a lot more coverage than they used to

Re: Atalanta Falcons
I can't really see me selling Jags, and if I'm being honest it would likely take a sizeable offer to sell Caulker. Would possibly have interest in Pienaar. I'll have a think while I'm sat in lectures (Caulker also counts as an U-21

Viva and I will sell you Javier Zanetti for £1.5m, he'd be a great RB backup (Reid would get pulled apart there), and he'd fit in well with your Italianosity you've got going on

You have offered him two downgrades and the chance to give you a third player for free. If you'd pulled that one, I would have tipped my hat to Olly - King of the Transfers
Sod - want to swap Italian RBs.
Cassani for De Silvestri. You give me the difference in TM value in cash and I'll take the injury hit this week

I could certainly let Pirlo go Soddy but I would want more than just Noble and Pasqual coming my way tbh mate.
How about Pirlo + Garrido (just a LB for ya now) = Pasqual + Noble + ?????
