Countries for Reboot

Zidane - Italy
Russell - Germany
Treble - Germany
Marky - Spain
Nadeem - England
Olly - Italy
Hero - Spain
Gregers - Spain
Fernando - England
Sodhat - Italy
Twist - Germany
Viva - England
Afro - Italy
Bull - Germany
New Player - Spain
Tooze - England

Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:

1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.

To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.

Viva therefore wins.

ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m

It's advanced project management, and it every bit as interesting as it sounds.

I have to look interested, make eye contact and concoct questions I don't even want answers to, just to gloss over the fact its so horribly awkward.

Beer, do what every you feel appropriate. Im just here to get my 2nd draft of player and win championships.

Soddy, how do you have a classs where you are the sole pupil? How is there only a total of two in a class? Madness! Something isnt right with the education system. Surely the expenditure of a teacher/lecture for a class of two people isnt worth it.

Agree that the Bull thing has gone a little to far.

I don't know who you're talking about, but that had better not mean me. I have no clue who ZZZ is, have only come back to the league on Friday, and have no clue who you are either.

This league has ALWAYS consisted of 10% league business, 90% banter. Sometimes the banter crosses a line - and it gets dealt with. But when you try and have banter with someone who just resorts to swearing and name-calling, it's difficult to stop. Like when someone calls you and your friends inbred, for no reason other than to be spiteful Rolling Eyes

I think we should all concentrate on advance project management (something I'm an expert in btw), and leave out all the Bull.

Viva, Beer is like some zombie, if you dont acknowledge him he will walk on by. Once you make contact he will chase and bite away until hes done feeding, until next time that is.
So probably best not talking to him and just carrying on about our business, league, FIFA talk and so on.

Like Azzy said, advance project management is the way forward.

About 5/6 posts after this, Beer called ZZZ and his 'little gang of mates' 'inbred'. If we're serious about rules, then we should be serious about the rules. Starting with that post from Beer.

I hate Gantt charts. Never use them, always make your own Excel chart instead. Looks prettier, easier to amend, and won't take 4 months to print three copies.

Tooze said 24-hour ban, not warning, so I guess there's no deterrent to insulting people. As long as the same rules are there for everyone, that's fine.

And you think I have a pretty head. Thanks?!?!?

Move on Azzy

What do people make of the England squad? Seems funny to me that they were calling for Hooper to get a call-up and claiming the only reason he doesn't is anti-Scottish league mentality and that he plays for Celtic.

And then Forster gets a call up instead

Forster is a poor keeper in reality. We made a choice between him and Krul and i think we made the right one.

Butland has gone to the U21's cause they have a playoff. Everyone else is either retired or in the doghouse.

Afro, I dont understand why Hodgeson has three, yes THREE left backs. Baines, Cole and Gibbs. Bit of a waste.

Black Ops was a dissapoint, I know you're a COD fan boy but you got to admit it was poor.
Yes is was a bit disapointing. This one having the futuristic aspect to it should move it on to the next level and be an improvement. Modern Warfare series is better IMO. But Zombies, you cant beat zombies (literally) & is just too fun & addictive!!

Afternoon all,

Forster seems a decent keeper, but he's not going to be starting any games any time soon. Problem is that players like Robinson and Foster have retired who'd both be good second choice keeper.s

I just wandered whether it was Hodgson's way of saying

"Look, we're not anti-SPL by not picking Hooper, I've picked Forster"

and then quietly to Neville.G "thank god, he's only third choice and we don't have to play an SPL player"

the reason is because i prefer playing the story mode and felt that the story to Blops was much more interesting then in MW. As i like it it when history is added into games.

like i said though its an overrated game series as i prefer games with story's like Metal Gear Solid/Assassin's creed etc

If you want to play a game with story line play Uncharted, the game is out of this world it feels like a movie you don't know when the cut scene ends and the game starts. Uncharted 2 has to go down as top 5 PS3 game of all time.

Never played any of them. I struggle to get the time to play anything, so am sticking with the Wii.

I have been told that the Wii is just for Primary school children by Viva (which is probably true), but given that a) the batteries in my Balance Board ran out without me having used it, and b) I still have two unopened games that bought 6 months ago!!

i wanted to get fallout but for some reason it just felt really difficult as i played Oblivion before and they both just not for me, i dont mind them but it might because you have too much to do in it, unlike in Red Dead where its open but the story is gripping.

i did not mind MW2 story but its just MW3 to me just seems boring and uninteresting the story compared to what blop's story bought which i felt was really cleaver to have linked the ending with

(Blops story end spoiler)

Sri Lanka 68-1

Jayawardene is finally out but it's too late he has already made a massive impact and one of my favourite batsman Sangakkara comes on to replace him. Pakistan will loose.

Twist you still haven't added me on PS3 mad have you got Fifa 12 or 13?

I am sure I did. I know Lee and Nay are waiting for me to accept them but I don't go on very often. And no I haven't. I am not a football game fan, but I was thinking about getting it. Then you lot put me off with some of the stuff you have been saying about it Laugh

Sounds complicated. Give me Tetris any day

Poo. I forgot that was on. I plonked my hard earned on Pakistan from the beginning, so hope they get through, but 68-1 sounds like Sri Lanka should be flying.

I'm off to check out the scorecard
