pretty much. The whole drop people on an island and see who survives is. The Hunger Games had some BS story to make it more Hollywood

Jesus, there's no flies on you...the films are almost identical in plot, theme, action - so it is essentially a remake, regardless of who wrote what. She saw the film, wrote an amended version, and made millions.

Almost identical doesn't make it a remake

Look, there are a lot of films that have others that are similar. But a remake of the Running Man is based upon the book The Running Man. Not based on a book that is similar.

I give you an example. Never Say Never Again and Thunberball. That is a remake that has differences. But both films came from the same book by Fleming.
