WTF Question

Are the groups for the WTF determined in the same way as a regular tournament, for example the top 2 seeds would be in separate groups, 3rd and 4th seeds in separate groups etc??

Yes. One of each pair (1/2, 3/4 etc) is placed in each group.

I think 5 and 6 also have to be in separate groups and 7 and 8 have to be apart as well if I recall.

I can see one of the bottom 4 winning this now, Murray, Nole and Federer have had exhausting seasons, Berdych and Tsonga relatively less while Ferrer has been playing sporadically in recent weeks.

Not sure I agree with that, I think you would take the top 3 ahead of the other 5 if you were looking for a winner.
