It's been done before so can't really stop it this time.
But I think it's time for a new rule....
From now one, each individual TP must be made on a separate post

I agree with Marky a manager should be online to make a signing but it's not fair on Gregers when others have done this. Rule needs to be put in place
Re: The TP Bid Page
Or you could go back to the bidding system & have them all submitted to the one who isnt in the league then BOOM, highest bidder wins. From now one, each individual TP must be made on a separate post
That could work now as the players who are available when TP limt goes up are wanted by a few managers

We like the rules to evolve with the game. If we start again everytime a rule needs fine tuning, we'd only get a few weeks done each time.

Re: The TP Bid Page
But eventually you'd get a league where no-one can one-up another
Why don't you change the TM rules now, and just make it a bidding process? So at £23m, rather than having a mad rush for Mascherano, people bid for him and the highest bidder would get him? Saves Zebs ALWAYS being first (kudos to him, he's lightning quick).

Re: The TP Bid Page
There isn't a problem with the system in my opinion. Just perceived unfairness that more than one player can go on a single bid. I think Afro's rule serves a good purpose, not much else needs changing.

If it doesn't create more work for any runner, then it can be considered.
What timescale do you set for bids?

Good signing GSC, he was my backup if Alonso had gone
There still needs to be a way for managers who cannot ensure they will be on at 12 on the dot to get a player

Re: The TP Bid Page
I think bidding should only be reserved for a TP increase tbh. Otherwise well scouted bargains like Rio go down the toilet once others see it.

Perhaps people have until 1pm to make a bid for players. Bids can be submitted before the rise to runners for people who aren't online.
Highest bidder wins.
After 1pm it goes back to fairgame.

Re: The TP Bid Page
IMO, there hasnt been an issue in the past even with other managers doing other managers bids.
Now because Alonso, Sami K got snapped up quick there seems to be an problem in the way we do TP's.
Because its never come up before I dont see why one/two players now make it an issue.
I say we keep it that same, when ever a restart is done in the future we discuss it then.

Re: The TP Bid Page
Sound suggestion GSC
It also makes TP deadline day more interesting - last minute in-league deals to get you an extra £4m to add onto your Alonso bid for example. Could be good!

We won't do fundamental changes to the system midway through. It will be considered for a reboot, but any changes now would need to be fine tuning around the edges only

IO agree too. I think we can defo come up with a better, level playing field system.I do agree theres a better system than first in line for TP increases though
Just saying this has only been bought up due to Alonso/Sami K.
It wasn't bought up 2 weeks ago, 4 weeks ago & so on.
TBF if we are changing it now is the best time with Easter break & coming close to mid point of the season.

Re: The TP Bid Page
Considering I started all this, I have no issues with the only change being the one Afro mentioned, of one TP per post.
The rest is fine as it is. Perfectly fine.

Re: The TP Bid Page
Theo Walcott is an interesting one for me.
As a right winger, not gained much rating on here, but in his new found role as a striker he is largely untested.
I will be very interested to see how GSC uses him and how is received. Could be a master stroke in theory

Re: The TP Bid Page
Plus, if you're facing GSC, do you prepare for Walcott as a winger? A lone striker? In the hole? As part of a 2-man attack? His versatility could be tough for people to prepare against.

Same with Schurrle. My problem has been scoring enough to convert draws to wins. I added more firepower

Ganso
£48m
Santos to Arsenal (Nando)

Ganso
Arsenal (Nando) to Spurs (Cherries)
50 million now, and an extra 10m after he is involved in 3 club wins

Re: The TP Bid Page
If that was the 2006 version of the Furious League, that's an okay deal.
CF just signed Paul McShane and Sean St Ledger in the Realistic League, replacing his Swansea CBs of Samba and Williams. Maybe he doesn't like CBs that much

At the time, Ganso was the Robin to Neymar's Batman. And when Neymar was a definite NFS, everyone jumped on the Ganso train.
