Any reason why the chatbox thread is locked? The England game is tonight and the U21's have already kicked off.

Look I do think the box is on too often, and shouldnt be a nightly occurance, so should be cut down a bit. But I think it is a very minor factor in the decrease of posts/topics etc etc. That is as a result of the lack of advertising in my opinion.

I may have created it but please don't forget that Adam especially did the vast amount of donkey work, he was the one that went out of his way to get interviews with stars, he was the one that went to the other sections on 606 to make it multi sports, he was the one that really put in the effort from which I should not get the acclaim.
Do not vilify him when he's actually the 'hero' in the creation of this site more than anyone.

Sorry to disappoint you on this Uryu but the site is not a trade union with one person, one vote. We are more than happy to have suggestions etc put forward on the suggestions thread but decisions etc will be made by the admin team.

so...on the basis of your previous choice of closing the chatbox because of it 'allegedly' causing numbers to drop, which the majority of us were against and could not see the connection, we are supposed to pass on ideas to you and hope they are looked at when the last choice you made was ( as the majority feel) the wrong call. will you take credit for the ideas we pass on as well?

There's no evidence to state the majority were against the closure of the chatbox. Where were the rugby union masses, the golf, the tennis etc, the actual majority of the board don't use the chatbox but around 15-20 that are mainly centred around the efed and gaming sections.

As to why and when does credit come into it? Is this site all of a sudden the new Facebook? Am I suddenly going to be sued by a pair of Harvard twins for nicking their idea?
If someone comes forward with a good idea then great it's their idea, we're not suddenly sticking patents on it and rolling it to the world as our own.

lemmie clear up my idea a bit more with an example.

say i dunno, you wanted to decide on a new way to promote yourselves and you tell us your ideas and ask for others.

Twisty suggests using radio connections people have (if any).
Dave says we are spreading the net too wide and should focus on what we have got already.
I suggest Touting, Myspace and asking for retweets from celebrities.

then after a while you close the thread ( say, 1 week), look at what case each person has put forward and discuss it amongst yourselves, eventually returning with a decision.

do you see a problem with this?

Just a hint Uryu, maybe the admin team would be more sympathetic to your views if you actually expressed them with respect rather than like a child spitting out his dummy.

You cannot expect the admin team to show you respect and listen to your views, if you're going to make cheap shots at us.

Remember, that we give up OUR time to provide you with this forum, we don't get paid, we don't get any advantages. If we make the wrong decision (in your eyes) then you'd get a lot further acting like an adult instead of a spoilt child.
