Too much Too soon for brock?
I am a big Lesnar fan, and believe he has the capabilities to be a true great in the sport. However, i think his WWE fame has been his greatest downfall. He is facing people he just should not be in with considering his MMA experiance. I would of much prefered Brock to take 2 years fighting 3 times a yar learining his trade. I really cant see hijm beating JDS right now, and think his confidence will be all but gone if he is Ko'ed. Booooo dana for making his quick buck!!

I think it was to be honest. Didn't he beat a nobody in his 1st fight, then lose his 2nd & not long after get his title shot? Doesn't seem like the normal route to a title! I agree he should've been matched properly & learnt his trade over a couple of years, but Dana was looking at the short term & the dollars. To be honest I'm not a Lesnar fan, he seems to have a massive ego & be an arrogant meathead & I enjoyed watching him take a beating from Cain! Are you watching TUF 13 & how do you find Lesnar? I'll be honest & say he's coming across better than I expected but still haven't taken to him.

i think his near death experiance taught him a good lesson about humility. His attitude was rubbish coming in to MMA though.
His first fight was against a Korean with a rubbish record, but failry good kickboxer. 2nd fight was againt Mir, where he was mashing his face but got caught with a submission, and then somehow, in his 3rd fight, he beat herring and got a shot at randy!!
I think if they hadnt rushed him, we would be looking at a long reigning champion!

A pure money move from Dana, would defo have brought a lot of WWE fans over especially his fight against Randy. I think win or lose Lesnar brings money to the table.
With regards to him being a long reigning champ I dont know. He seems to have trained in little else except wrestling & thinks with his size, strength & athletisim thats enough! Carwin showed signs of how to beat him & Cain had to much, his take down defence was excellant & unless Lesnar can take you down submit or pound you I think he struggles. I have heard he spends a lot of time on fitness & conditioning & has a lot of yes men around him. He also doesn't like to get hurt, look at the Carwin & Cain fights he just seems to cower away, can he really overcome this?

thats why i would of liked him to spend a good two years developing the skills needed to be a complete fighter. He needed to get his ability in many different areas up to speed before being matched the way he has. i you can learn how to cope beter with taking a punch, no one really like it. Its more a mental thing, realising your not made of glass. when i first started sparing, i was rubbish!! when a punch came at me, i would automatically put my head down, and then ship a hole lot more!! he needs to jouin a traning camp, not go it alone

^^^^^^
This.
Until Brock gets away from his current team he'll never be the fighter he could be. The thing I always noticed about Brock was his attempts to always better himself. He never appeared to be one who rested on his laurels. After the Carwin fight I thought that would be a wake up call to him that he needed to expand his game but being surrounded by yes men obviously doesn't help and Cain blitzed him.
I haven't heard what he's doing training wise for the JDS fight, whether he's brought anybody new in or not, but if he hasn't then I can see Junior inflicting another beating on him.

A lot of people put Dos Santos in the same class as Cain....i dont....he is a great fighter i just dont see him overcoming Lesnar
I think Lesnar will be pumped for this fight and esp after his demolition at the hands of Cain i think it will 3 rounds of Lesnar dominating with his wrestling........even if he has'nt mixed his camp up

The latest edition of Fighters Only magazine has Brock as it's feature article and he shares quite a few honest thoughts on his weaknesses and where to improve and a few pages containing experts discussing how and if he can improve and how to do it.
Anyone interested in this article would find the article of interest to them.

No worries Clunge,
I subscribe to the magazine so get it early so to clarify, it's the one with Brock on the cover and not the Roy Nelson one.
