Paul Jewell reportedly leaves Ipswich
After an injury time goal condemned Ipswich to defeat, they were left stranded at the bottom of the table on 7 points from 12 games, 4 points from safety

Hutchings replaces him in the short time for the 3rd time. Probably be a lower league man to replace him.
(Inb4 Nick says Keith Hill)

As the Ipswich fan on 606v2, I would like to wish Paul Jewell the best for the future but the fact is he was a load of rubbish, who has made the spine of the team out of a bunch of loanees, which is never the way to go!

You know what it has reminded me of topofthechops? The year we went down to league 1.

Doesn't surprise me one bit he has been sacked. They have a reasonable budget (bigger than ours) so them being bottom of the league is ridiculous. They have some good players and showed at the amex a few weeks ago they can play the ball around well.
I wonder who Ipswich fans will get in
Harry Redknapp maybe?
Keith Hill should get it IMO

The team has been playing good football in the first half of games but the second half, the team seems to crumble.
I would like to see some on like Karl Robinson from MK Dons, who has the passion to manage and is one for the future and would get their butts into gear.

You need an injection of youth indeed. Also I feel you need a manager with a definitive style. That's the only way I can see Ip5w1ch staying out of League 1

Yeah, bring in the 5-1 why don't you. There was no clear structure under Jewell and we played the 4231 formation which doesn't work for me. We need a defensive coach like Jason De Vos and the guy who norwich fans love to hate, Fabian Wilnis!

I believe it was 9-2 over the two games #slapthescum
Seriously I reckon Mick McCarthy would be good for you. Decent track record, would certainly stick a rocket up em

Mccarthy is a good manager, knows how to get teams out of the championship, not sure he will suit our team as we have very short strikers and he is known for playing hoofball with his teams

Curbishley is favorite for every mid level English job.
Does anyone ever put money on him.

I'm not sure if Evans, our owner would want to spend a lot of money poaching another team's manager so I reckon he will go with an unattached manager.

But yet he spends a lot of money on the likes of Jason Scotland and Michael Chopra?
Going down to league 1 was the best thing that evrr happened to us, got rid of the deadwood, came back stronger. Think it could be good for you too, seriously

I just can't see Ipswich doing a Norwich though, but the squad is too small which is why we had to get loanees into the squad. The club is going into a downward spiral unfortunately

Topofthechops you would come straight back up from league 1 i reckon. Too good to stay down there tbh.
As for Michael Turner. Did he not just keep a clean sheet against Arsenal GSC?

Graeme Bailey @SkyGraemeBailey
Sky Sports understands Ipswich have made contact with Dougie Freedman over their managerial vacancy. More on http://skysports.com shortly
Think they may have missed the boat on that one.

Hate is a pretty strong word. Disliked him would have been more appropriate.

You disliking a Norwich player is roughly equivalent to the relationship you have with a guy whos cheating with your GF

Keano was nearly as bad as Paul Jewell. I swear Dougie Freedman has already joined Bolton but he is the type of manager Ipswich need.

Don't think Keano is suited to manage in this era. He's in the mould of Clough.

I don't think he's suited to manage in any area, I don't think he's intelligent enough.

Yep all confirmed. Ipswich have the squad and budget to do well in the league they shouldn't be anywhere near 24th in the league. Good appointment IMO the bloke has done well in the league and as a drunk crimey said if he can build a decent squad then Ipswich can be pleased.
