Brian O'Driscoll in Leinster Slur
"The three best teams in the world make up the Super 15 and, and you look at the individuals and you look at the calibre of the sides and the quality of Super Rugby and the intensity of it, obviously it is a hugely high standard,'' said the Dublin-born centre.

Not if you believe Paul Ackford that Leinster are better than SA and Aus. Otherwise yes it is.

Traitor to Leinster! Burn him!!!
Although he doesn't say Leinster isn't the 4th best side in the World, so maybe just a cigarette and a firing squad for him.
You're rather late reading all that though , pain. It's already fish'n'chips wrapper news in cyberville.

Since Ackford didn't write such a statement, it's irrelevant.
This is just more of the painfully obvious trolling by AWOP and his intentional misinterpretation of an article by Ackford.
And we're indulging it.

I'm sure if he was speaking to a northern Hemp paper about H-cup, he would have said something like h-cup contains some of the best sides in the world."

I think O'Driscoll may have left it a year too late for his Southern Hemisphere excurtion.
Although, the EP Kings are looking for some stars, he might not want to earn Rands, but at least he'll get to play Super rugby.

At the weekend he was playing like it was even more than a year ago - so ironically maybe by the end of season, he'd be just in time to take a shot at Super 15!

Brian always names drops his buddy Cheika when his IRFU contract extension comes up for renegotiation..... a few seasons ago he was packing his bag for Stade Francais.......
A more cynical man than me might think he's looking for one more big payday to take him through to the next RWC

Sounds like a great idea. Take a big pay cut to leave one of the best sides in Europe to go to the worst side in super rugby...Biltong wrote:I think O'Driscoll may have left it a year too late for his Southern Hemisphere excurtion.

Re: Brian O'Driscoll in Leinster Slur
Neither really does he. Or let me rephrase, he wasn't being serious about the serious intent just saying it would be nice...just like it'd be nice to travel across Australia on a Harley but few of us still get around to it.Biltong wrote:Hey, I am not the one that wants to play Super Rugby.
He also said he'd quite happily follow his wife to America and be a lazy house husband if her acting career took her there. He doesn't really mind what he says most of the time. He toys with people's expectations of what they want him to say.

500 games? Ah, such a shame...two less than he'd need to claim back Irish tax.

Fine, he can make those two extra ones, we'll manage him to miss 1 minute in 160 of his matches

Put him on the plane...!
and teach him this to say to the Airport security:
"Ah tis to be sure amn't I glad to be back on the auld sod im'y forefathers and isn't it tears that's comin t'me eyes as I look out at them there green fields... with the carparks and SUVs and curvy architectural buildings and things"
They won't even look at his passport if he says that guff. They'll carry his bags for him directly to his hotel.

That's assuming he doesn't fly into Belfast International fly....
...in which case send him on the plane with a bolar hat and copy of the Old Testament and tell him to march straight past passport control... up the Ormeau Rd en route to Ravenhill ......

Re: Brian O'Driscoll in Leinster Slur
I don't get this blowing bubbles up Leinsters bum,
yes they are a good team but hardly world beaters, they struggle to consistently beat the Ospreys.
Then we look at last years HC they wouldn't have made the final if the scrum got reffed properly in the Clermont game.
Just like Munster if they get reffed properly at the breakdown and get pinged for sealing off or running beyond the ball and obstructing they lose.
Also who cares what BOD thinks? shouldn't that midget retired years ago.

Correct View, well said. If a ref doesn't want Leinster or Munster to win, they'll lose. Let that be a lesson to up and coming refs later down the line in this season's HC.

Good on him. Pat on the back for anyone wanting to reverse the trend.
Clearly its a personal challenge thing over a money thing so kudos to him- the level of play need for a passport rather than a bus ticket to get to games makes it tougher. Wish there were more like him doing this. Those who have dont seem to have suffered for it.

I won't hear it said View.sliced bread is the best thing since Leinster decided to play rugby and the worlds greatest ever centre should know as much.
