Bryan Redpath removed as Sale director of rugby
Sale Sharks have removed former Scotland international Bryan Redpath as director of rugby, the BBC has learned.
Not really a surprise - but what now forRedpath - after then Controversy leaving Gloucester, is he now in a bit of a sticky situation. Who would want to take him on board?

Re: Bryan Redpath removed as Sale director of rugby
It sounds like Sale are still employing Redpath but it doesn't look like he is DOR anymore.
However, in a twist to the story, Sale's head of media and PR Dave Swanton tweeted: "Don't know where the media got that from but can confirm Brush is STILL employed by Sale."
A club statement was then released, saying: "Sale Sharks would like to place on record that Bryan Redpath has NOT been dismissed by the club."
I wonder what Redpath's new role is? Personal butler for Diamond? Waterboy? Cipriani's new agent?

He is probably just coaching as opposed to being the grand overseer of all things rugby.

What's he going to coach though? For now it's a mess up there and if Mitchell is involved he might as well call it a draw and leave. Can't see a role for him long term.

Looks like he's been offered the role of backs coach.
HAHAHA! Good. He was promoted to the level of his incompetence and deserves this public demotion.

I have said this a few times but why has no one snapped up Brian Ashton or Dave Ellis?

I'm sure Brian Ashton has been quoted as saying he doesn't want to have any big roles again - I'm sure he was linked with Bath and he said no (understandably!).
Isn't Dave Ellis now working with Tonga?

A club would be a step down for Ellis after the France job, and unfortunately Eng decided on your old defence coach...oh wait a minute

Ellis has been doing consultancy work. I'm guessing that is good for the bank balance.
Sale should be performing a lot better. Don't know if this will help. Humiliating demotion for Brush.

HKC Ashton could just do some consultancy work. Being a Lancashire lad you would think Sale would be just up his street. I know Sale isn't strictly in Lancashire but it's close enough.
Though maybe he's just waiting for Diamond and Sale to implode before stepping in as the guardian angel.
Yappysnap step down? If it's a top club it's hardly a step down. Admittedly Sale at this moment would be.
Dave Ellis could wait till Sale are relegated if indeed they do then swoop in. Get rid of the dead wood and overrated players. Rebuild the club just like Dean Richards did with Quins and what he is doing with Newcastle and what Mallinder did with Saints.
Dropping down to the championship is not a bad thing as long as you come straight back up.
Yappysnap nope Gustard is staying at Sarries.
