I know, but I had to make a call before midday on my Xmas lawyer. So I explored other options and came to the conclusion that

1) selling Maxwell instead of Deulofeu was better for the balance of my squad and
2) given the cooling in the love of Cole, £15m was possibly a bit steep and there were better value options out there.

See that's the problem. A few years ago he was the best LB in the world, but not close anymore.

£15m is far too much for someone is getting criticised along with Evra on the main page.

If you change your mind on £13.5m, then I can raise it today by lawyering Deulofeu, but otherwise I will lawyer someone else and go for a different target.

I agree, in the league, there is only Alba better off the top of my head.

I tell you what though, I hadn't really scouted LBs properly before yesterday and there are a couple of absolute crackers still in TPs, and at a really good price. If you sell Cole at some point and they haven't gone, and I don't want them, I'll PM them to you (although I think Hero might have his eye on one of them)

If that is the U21 one I think you mean, I considered him purely because of his age, but I actually don't rate him that highly. He has barely played because the superstar club captain has played there instead, and when he has, he has played in midfield a lot and been pants.

I'll PM you the other two now.

On Cole, I agree he is good, but £15m is just too steep for me and I don't see many paying that. If you think that I am getting Balzaretti for £9m, who is Italian and suits my team style, Cole is just not worth paying so much more for, when cash is scarce.
