Has the New laws or variations currently trialed in ITM/Currie Cup/NH changed the game at all specifically 5 sec law at ruck and Scrum engagement.Or is it just tinkering around the edges?

I didn't really notice any difference. Quick ball is still won or lost by the forwards, the 5 second rule may make a difference on defensive rucks in your own 22, but on attack it is still up to the intent of the attacking team.

The scrums, don't have the statistics, but not much different from a spectators point of view

When we interviewed Neil Clark on the v2 podcast he felt it had changed things for the better, if only because the front row were not holding back the rest of the scrum for as long.

I'd like to see actual statistics to see how much less reset scrum there were.
