Ah, that might explain why there were fireworks going around. Where I live I can see Kent across the river and there were fireworks all over the shop.

I had assumed people were just getting rid of stuff left over from Bonfire Night!

I read that Zaha interview in the Guardian this morning. He did come across as arrogant. I can't imply the tone of his words, but he definitely came across with a sharp and dismissive attitude to some things.

Already bored with Zaha. If the kid was that good he'd have played for England two years ago, and been the saviour of English footy since he was 8 years old. He's scored some goals for Palace and all of a sudden he's John Barnes? Erm

I'd agree but its painfully hard to get called up to the England squad from a lower division. Its hard enough if you don't play for a top club or Liverpool.

I only told you Smalling because he was English. Vertonghen would have been my choice as well - quality at LB, quality at CM, excellent at CB, possible LM too. And a total hunk heart

Don't use Gumtree Viva, I'm serious! I told you I think, but I got burned with fake tickets from there - it's filled with dodgy folks.

Sell it on Ebay if you need to - you also get protection if they don't pay you. Or give it to me as a gift? Very Happy

Viva, I'm seeing Twilight next week. It's my punishment for being allowed out to see The Hobbit Sad

A woman I work with got held at gun point meeting someone off Gumtree. Went to see a £2,000 car, agreed to buy it, went back with the cash, had a gun put against her head. She lost the money, her confidence, and the rozzers couldn't do a thing. Gumtree should be shut down.

It's a disgrace of a site, and it really shouldn't be used when there are more legit avenues around. Ebay isn't perfect, but I'd feel more comfortable that I will get my money in the end.

You've only got to watch it the once, I have to watch in three times Sad it's all about the long term gains.

Sick bar stewards, it happens far too often to people. I agree with Sodhat they should close it down, only reason I went on it was because a friend of mine got some really cheap items.

I actually collected the tickets in person too. In hindsight it was a dumb move, but I was 19 and wanted to see Oasis!

I imagine the woman had some burly men watching the whole thing in case I spotted they were fake or tried to do a runner. She was also carrying a brolly on a dry day, and I guess that was to give me a beating with if I got wise to her.

What a Kumquat she is. I hope she caught AIDS.

I was looking at anything I owed being paid back with my bonus next week.

How about £2m now (to keep it a round number) and you get my £2.5m bonus next week? I guarantee I will submit tactics and vote to get the bonus, but if I don't, we can raise it another £2.5m

Deportivo My Sharona v Pass the Deutschie
1-1 Jovetic; Huntelaar
2-2
1-1
1-2
2-1 Valbuena, Sterling; Jovetic
1-1 Pogrebnyak; Holtby

Total
8-8

Result
1-1

Jovetic - Huntelaar

MOTM votes: Jovetic, Draxler, Sterling

I love the surprise set up from Sharona this week, I think the formation suits there team with the wing backs and I would say with Valbuena and Jovetic they create a lot of chances, but Pogrebnyak needs improving imo. Deutschie have a good side and I think Draxler causes problems for Sharona, and I don't see the CB's keeping Huntelaar quiet so I say a draw here.
Very tough game to call and so I'm going to go for a draw. Deportivo have a great front three but I think their defense is a bit questionable, and I think Diaby and Fletcher are similar types of players in the centre and a creative deep lying playmaker could work better alongside one of the two. Deutschie have played it right going for zonal marking, but their team just isn't as good overall, Simpson and Hitzlsperger stand out as weaknesses.
A real tough one to call. Deportivo surprised Deutschie with their formation and the two AMs were too much for Deutshie to handle. However, Anyukov, who loves to get forward, left Draxler alone a bit too much and his quality earnt a draw for Deutschie
For me this is a very tight match which comes down to who has the tools to break down the opposition, for me Dutchie just nick this with Holtby/Sterling/Huntelaar/Draxler proving just too much for the Sharona defence. Sharona will create chances but Pogs just isn't quite a big enough threat enough (although signing Villa has sorted that right out for Sharona)
Felt that the Deportivo dominateded tehmidfield due to number of bodies, goals came though the middle mainly due to the 2 Ams getting the better of getner and hitzlesberger, however sterling cataching an overcommiting Willems to force a close ending.
Sharona surprised Deutschie with Scholes on the bench but in Diaby I feel the control and creativity wasn't as strong in the centre of the pitch, for me the main focus was the battle of the youngsters on the wing between Sterling and Willems and a little naivety from the young Dutchman cost Sharona the win.

Spanish Bank's tactics are copied and pasted from last week and I know GSC was ill so this is expected, however I feel if they would have done proper tactics they would win this game. I like the idea from Zidane to go for it, and it works this week as Bank haven given instructions to players who arent on the pitch, but for me I wouldnt use the formation again. You would get abused so badly down the wings it would be painful.
Both teams set up very narrow and it made things very congested. The murderers have gone for the high line which is a good tactic considering the banker's lack of pace in attack. That and the fact the Spanish Bank don't have matching tactics to their team line up doesn't really work. Narrow win to the away side.
The bug that has struck down the Spanish bank squad was evident today with the manager sending out the same instructions for a different set of players. Sorry to GSC as it was unfortunate, but his being unable to submit properly cost him. I like Zidane’s tactics, but as with Juan Carrs last week, it is a system that can work, but needs time for it to work to its full effect.
A high scoring match with both sides playing an attacking line up, bank giving bosingwa instructions when he wasn't playing is a shame however. Zidane look a real threat this season and for me they just nick it with a very clever formation that really plays to their strengths especially putting lallana in between two lines of 3.
O real width from either side and become bogged down in the middle, alba is dangerous but not enough, may i advise not giving instruction to player who arnt playing and those who are
Love the set up from Zidane, three strong midfielders feeding an awesome speed machine of an attack, cannot give the forward line enough superlatives really.

MOTM votes: Reus, Reus, Cole

I like how each manager has tried to surprise one another and ended up playing pretty much the same formation! I can just see each team cancelling the other out, and despite Falcons getting the upper hand in the centre of midfield, I don't think they can take advantage properly to get the win. I can't see past a draw here.
These two came out with very similar tactics. However, playing Reus centrally surprised No Respek who didn't really prepare for that. However, I am still doubtful the likes of Reid and Distin are good enough for this level. It's a difficult game to call so I'm sitting on the fence.
A really tight game with the two teams setting up in a similar style and cancelling each other out. It was heading for a draw until 75 minutes when Respek brought on Odemwingie, whilst Atalanta made no changes. He ran at a tiring team and exploited the space that was appearing to get the winner
Two well matched sides that have this match having draw written all over it. Both sides have a great attacking threat that is successfully negated by them both having strong defences. Both sides have a genuine chance at silverware this season and can hopefully build on what has been a great season for both.
Feel both teams time up very similar, feel both teams have enough going forward to get a goal but very even game and no clear winner.
Two excellent sides that played a battle of chess prior to the game it seems but ended in a stalemate. Nothing really to split them, of anyone I could Reus causing the Respeck defence problems.

MOTM votes: Montolivo, Blaszcykowski, Jelavic

This is an interesting matchup and I like the tactics used by Moleicester in this match. Despite Munching having more possession of the ball, I think City do handle them pretty well. I like the pace that City will attack with, and I think they take advantage of vulnerable FB's with Oxo-Cube and Ince. I give them the edge in this one
A thrilling game here, however Moleicester can't be playing with Montolivo on his own. Ince and Chamberlain are not disciplined enough to come in and put in a defensive shift, and Di Natale is better as a finisher. The Munching centre backs a very strong and are capable with dealing with most of the threats so a clear win here.
A great game with both teams going for it. The difference for me was that Moleicester left the two CBs a bit too exposed with both FBs attacking and no real cover from midfield. They covered the middle, but Munching went down the wings and earnt the win
Two equally strong sides that I cannot separate, both have their fair share of great talent but I feel that both need to improve 2 out of their 4 players at the back. In the end I see nothing other than a draw.
Tough to call a 0-0 but feel Munching shut City down completly going forward and limit them massively, however don’t think they ahve enough going forward to trouble thedefence.
Huge huge ask on Montolivo today with two raw talents expected to assist him in midfield, I think it was too much of a step up for them together.

UNDER BRESCIA TACTICS 2-1 Total Juan Carrs
More conventional formation from TJC today, although I can still see them getting a goal. I like Afro’s set up and it will be a real battle for possession with some tired midfields after this one.

Deportivo la Chorizo 0-0 Bunga Bunga FC
What a spoiler that Olly is. Everyone geared towards halting Depor’s attacks, and oddly I can see it working with the wingers being doubled up on at times, and with the midfield being a black hole for classy play. Depor are one of the stronger sides in this league but their style was successfully negated this time out.

Name Pending 1-1 Bratwurst Mannschaft
Quite a lot of respect in each formation and both line up with a desire to stop the others creating from midfield. Fellaini isn’t being used as a target man, but he can still get on the end of the crosses from the wingers, with Mertesacker and Albiol having a lot to do to stop him and Heskey in the air. BM are too good to stay behind and they can spring on the counter.

------------

Under Brescia v Total Juan Carrs
Total Juan Carrs with an utterly ridiculou- wait, they've gone 4-2-3-1! A much sturdier setup from Juan Carrs this week, a solid back four to cope with the Brescia frontline and they set a decent base for their own attacks. Brescia were their ever daunting self, but clearly missed Tevez as Cassano just isn't as much of a gamechanger. An entertaining game that ends 2-2.

Deportivo la Chorizo v Bunga Bunga
I thought I'd misread it when I saw Olly had benched Pirlo! It may have been triggered by some feedback, but it was very odd to drop his best midfielder. Especially against one of the best sides in the league in Chorizo. Although I do feel Chorizo were vulnerable in the middle, Bunga Bunga wasted the chance to exploit it by having no creativity at CM. Chorizo win 3-1.

Name Pending v Bratwurst Mannschaft
Cherries has inherited a strong team, and had good tactics to go with it, then he picks Heskey. Complete facepalm. Heskey doesn't have what it takes against quality defenders, and in a game with the chances spread evenly, it was Kießling who scored the only goal. If Cherries gets a decent striker he has a chance of doing really well. Trebs has a strong team, did well out of the injuries and I feel is a genuine title challenger. 1-0 Mannschaft.

------------------

AHAAAAAAAAAA Alan Partridge FC v VFL Fassbender
NO TACTICS FROM BOTH TEAMS

Under Brescia FC 1-0 Total Juan Carrs FC
Matip
Brescia kept the ball well and for long periods but couldn't really muster many chances, Juan Carrs got the ball forward a lot but couldn't make it stick in the final third. It was a set piece for Brescia that won it for them.

Bunga Bunga FC 0-2 Deportizo Chorizo
-----------------------Tello
-----------------------Isco
Don't think this formation worked for Bunga, FB were playing in a 5 man defence meaning they had a lot of distance to cover getting forward and the lack of attacking support for them made it hard for them to give much service. Chorizo midfield got grips into the middle which kept Bunga midfielders chasing them allowing Deportivo to use the wide men. Pirlo should have started.

Name Pending (Bradistan Glue Sniffers) 0-1 Bratwurst Mannschaft
------------------------------Ben Arfa
Two sides to Pending they matched and at times had the upper hand in the midfield not many teams do that against Bratwurst but then the silly side of having Heskey as striker, they got balls in for him but he lacked the ability of a goalscorer. I feel Bratwurst changing players when going forward and defending slowed them down as players had to get into different positions not a massive thing but makes difference into games.

-----------------

Under Brescia 0-0 Juan Carrs - both sides have set up correctly to deal with each others threats.

Deportivo 3-0 Bunga - Bunga have set up to play the long ball game unfortunately with their formation and the other sides tactics i don't think they will see enough of the ball to be a threat in this game leading to an easy win for Deportivo through their wingers

Name Pending 1-2 Bratwurst - a very close game between 2 decent sides, NP dominate the midfield and Bratwurst the wingers but the lack of a finisher harms NP today and gives Bratwurst a win

-----------------

Under Brescia 0-2 Juan Carr

I like Carrs tactic of pressing in midfield, really should limit the opposition from spreading the ball from deep. Offensively his unit has an advantage also i believe in personnel.

Chorizo 1-1 Bunga

Bunga clearly set out to limit the opposition, and they have success here, and the Chorizo defense is vulnerable to bombardment. Didn't feel Bunga really did enough to merit a win though. A measure too negative for me.

Pending 0-2 Mannschaft

Pending has a good team, but Heskey up front alone is about as threatening as a tickle me Elmo

(THE HESKEY FAD WASNT FUNNY WHEN IT WAS NEW)

Trebs takes it.

--------------------

Under Brescia 1-1 Total Juan Carrs
Mirallas / Muniain
The midfield was packed in this contest, which slowed the pace down and ultimately suited neither side. Both sides created chances due to their quality, and neither defence was equipped to deal with the opposing forward line's movement and passing. Both managers set their sides up well but, with two great teams on show, neither could provide that little bit of extra quality to get ahead.

Deportivo la Chorizo 0-1 Bunga Bunga FC
Crouch
DLC had much the better team on paper, but Bunga Bunga threw a tactical surprise in leaving out Pirlo (Albelda was therefore surplus to requirements) and putting two DCMs against Isco, and that gave them a big advantage. Bunga Bunga were solid at the back, not troubled by Soldado against three CBs, and their solid midfield and crosses into the box gave the two big men some decent opportunities.

Name Pending 0-1 Bratwurst Mannschaft
Kiessling
Name Pending were set up well but Heskey was not cut out for the role he was given - moving about the CBs is hardly his strong point. Albiol and partner covered him easily, and Heskey's lack of control let him and his team down. That said, Bratwurst struggled to get to grips with the change between defence and attack, as name Pending's wingers took advantage of Ben Arfa and Giaccherini's position swapping. In the end, Bratwurst's quality at the back won out, as Name Pending did not have the cutting edge up front.

----------------------

Under Brescia vs. Total Juan Carrs
0-1
Herrera
It’s a tough game to call, both team have good reasons to walk away with all three points. With Under Brescia trying to apply high pressure against a team that can move the ball precisely and quickly, would be their undoing. It would only be by the odd goal but TJC gets my votes.

DLC vs. Bunga Bunga FC
0-0
I think this game would be stalemate. Bunga set up to defend with 5 at the back and play direct and with a constant onslaught, DLC would give it their best shot but fail to make a chance count, ending the game in a draw.

--------------

Under Brescia FC 0-0 Total Juan Carrs FC[/b]
Both teams looking to play high up the field & press each other turned what shoud of been a great technical game into a scrappy one. With both teams working on retaining possession there were few chances in this match. Plenty of action with tackles flying in but the keepers were hardley worked.

Bunga Bunga FC 0-1 Deportizo Chorizo
None - Soldado
In an attempt to predict the oppositions game la Chorizo got some part wrong, luckily for them it didnt matter too much. Bunga Bunga just missed that extra bit attacking, at times the strikers needed more support. I dont feel la Chorizo's attacking width was dealt with by Bunga Bunga, Soldado nods one home to give the away team a vital win. Bunga Bunga's substitutions had a positive impact but they weren’t able to make that decisive break through with the amount of time left.

Bradistan Glue Sniffers 0-1 Bratwurst Mannschaft
None - Shaqiri
Bratwurst Mannschaft just edged this close encounter. OWT had built a well organised side, everyone knew what they had set out to do and they works extremely well together. Feliani was well marked, often had two men on him which made his life difficult. Name Pending's game plan was snuffed out, they had limited success from the wings. Defensively Name Pending were quite strong, just no plan b going forward left them short of ideas.

Well played Azzy

I didn't actually read your tactics till just now, so I had no idea we had inadvertantly matched up formations
