Devon is backstage. He says tonight is called Turning Point. His turning point was when a group of men proved they had his back. He tells Kurt Angle not to take the impending ass kicking personal, because he's just the recipient of a random act of chaos. Devon says it's all just "club business" and we cut to a short video package of the next match.

Devon botches a powerbomb attempt, but Angle quickly recovers with a trifecta of German suplexes. Kurt goes up for the Moonsault, but Devon gets up and stops him with a blow to the back, and now Devon hits the running powerbomb with the help from the top rope.
Angle hits the Olympic Slam out of nowhere, but Devon kicks out. The Aces & Eights make their way to the ring and surround the two on the outside, but Angle locks the grapevine on the Ankle Lock and Devon taps out!

After the match, Angle bails from the ring and barely escapes the assault from Aces & Eights. He taunts them on the ramp and DOC screams at him from the ring.
Backstage a camera guy tries to catch up with AJ Styles to no success. He asks him what he's going to do without a shot at the World Title for a full year. Styles turns around, stares at him angrily and then walks off without saying a word.
Austin Aries is also backstage with Jeremey Borash. He says he's about to write the final chapter in Jeff Hardy's long career. He talks about how the deck has been stacked against him, but he's going to take that deck and shove it down Hardy's throat. He says he doesn't need the adoration of the fans, or the support of TNA management. But he says Hardy will need every break he can get, and the support of every one of those fans to keep him from taking back his World Heavyweight title.
Ladder Match for the TNA Heavyweight Title
Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Austin Aries
Both World Titles are hanging high above the ring, as Austin Aries makes his way out first. Jeff Hady comes out second, concentrating on his title. Borash does the official championship introductions, with the Impact Zone largely in favor of the Champion Jeff Hardy.
The bell rings and the two stare each other down. Hardy wants to lock up but Aries bales from the ring and says "I don't do this because people clap". He eventually gets back in the ring and throws Hardy to the outside. He tries to bring a ladder in the ring, but Hardy joins him at the ladder and Aries decides better of it. Aries throws the Champion into the ring post. He jumps off the top rope and tries to stomp Hardy's head on the way down, but may have slipped coming off the top and missed completely.

He uses the ring steps for Poetry in Motion, and takes down the challenger! Hardy brings the ladder into the ring and starts the climb for his title. Aries joins him and literally climbs over Aries back. Aries gives up on reaching for the belts, and hits a Russian leg sweep from the middle of the laddder.
Aries sets up the ladder between the ring and the barricade, and bodyslams Hardy on top of it. He gets on the apron and hits a running knee drop, and Hardy takes it hard, falling into the ring steps afterwards. Aries brings the ladder back into the ring and starts his climb, but Hardy recovers in time and stops him. The Champion sets the ladder upside down in a "V" formation and tries to suplex Aries through it. Aries counters however, and sends Hardy into the corner. Hardy off the second rope, but Aries moves out of the way and sends Aries crashing through the ladder, sandwiching himeself inside of it.
Aries grabs another ladder and throws it into the ring. He takes Hardy outside and again traps him in the ladder. Aries takes the steel ringsteps and stacks them on top of Hardy so he can't escape. Aries climbs the ladder, but stops as he sees Earl Hebner trying to help Hardy out of the ladder. Aries goes outside, but Hardy is gone. He looks under the ring, but Hardy is already back climbing towards victory! In a brutal spot, Aries rushes the ring and just collapses one of the ladder's legs, sending Hardy like a ragdoll back to the mat. Aries tries to climb, but the ladder is compromised and he folds it up instead, placing it into the corner.
Out of nowhere, Hardy tries for the Twist of Fate, but Aries shakes him off and sends him into the ladder. Aries follows, but Hardy with a beautiful Japanese Armdrag, sending the challenger flying into the steel. Hardy sets up the ladder and stands on top of it, hoisting himself up from the corner. He lets the broken ladder fall to the mat, riding it all the way down and splashing on top of Aries to a big "holy Poopie!" chant from the crowd. Both men are down, but eventually Hardy goes to outside to get a new, not broken ladder from under the ring. He sets it up and begins to climb, but Aries comes off the top rope with the missle dropkick, taking the ladder out and sending hardy crashing back down to Earth once again.
Both men slowly climb to their feet, and ascend the ladder. The get to the top, and Hardy hits the Twist of Fate! Up to top rope, and the Swanton Bomb connects! Aries rolls out of the ring and Hardy slowly recovers. He gradually climbs the ladder and reaches for his title...but the belts are lifted out of his grasp! Hardy looks around trying to figure out what's going on, and he sees Austin Aries in the control booth, with the mechinism in his hands.
Hardy after him, but Aries launches himself over the barricade. Hardy takes out his opponent and gets a new, much taller ladder from under the ring. He sets it up and both men begin to climb. The ladder tilts and they both go crashing into the ladder set up on its side in the corner. Eventually they pull themselves up and Hardy hits a Twist of Fate on top of the ladder, sending Aries crashing to the outside. Hardy then climbs a ladder and takes down his World Title.

The referee gets turned around again, and Park takes the distraction to feed a steel chair right into DOC's face! 1...2...but DOC kicks out! DOC hits a big chokeslam for the three count.
Winner: DOC
DOC gets the hammer after the match and the referee bails from the ring again. Bully Ray makes the save and chases DOC to the back. He gets in the ring and lifts Joseph Park to his feet. History teases a heel turn here, but instead Bully simply looks into the bloody face of Park and raises his hand in moral victory. A good show of respect.
Bobby Roode is backstage with Jeremey Borash. He says he's going to show people why he is still the "It factor of professional wrestling" and a better man than James Storm or AJ Styles. He says he's going to get himself back into the main event picture, and come one step closer to gaining back "his" World Heavyweight title.
TNA Tag Team Championship
Chavo & Hernandez (c) vs. Chris Daniels & Kazarian
Chavo and Daniels start the match off. Daniels backs his opponent into the corner and lands closed right hands to the objection of senior referee Earl Hebner. Chavo turns the tide and hits a serious of his own mounted strikes. Kazarian attacks from behind and the heels knock Hernandez off the ring apron and take control. Kaz tags in and hits a legdrop from the second rope. The former champs try for a double clothesline, but Chavo ducks under it and they turn around right into a big clothesline from "Supermex" Hernandez.
Hernandez is the legal man now, and tosses Kazarian with ease into the corner. Chavo tags back in and flies off the top rope, but Kazarian rolls out of the ring. Kaz comes back in and fires back with strikes until he tags in Daniels. The heels trade quick tags and work over Chavo in their corner. At one point they both throw Chavo from the ring and do the Gangam Style dance. They continue the pressure, hitting one big move and tagging out. Kaz is the legal man now and gets Chavo up on his shoulders. Guerrero fights out of it with kicks to the side of the head, but Kazarian drives him into the corner and does some loud trash talking. Out of nowhere Chavo hits the tilt-a-whirl DDT using the second rope as a kickoff point, and gets the hot tag to Hernandez!
Kaz tags in Daniels, who eats clothesline after clothesline from the big man. Hernandez catches him in a beerhug, and transitions it perfectly into the belly-to-belly overhead suplex. He tries for the Border Toss but Kaz frees him from the crucifix, only for them both to get caught by a big clothesline. Supermex clears the entire ring and looks to fly over the top rope with Air Mexico, but Daniels jumps up and nails a big kick to take him down. The former champs hit the ring and hit the Hi-Lo combo, but Kazarian only gets two. Hernandez suplexes them both, and in comes Chavo Guerrero off the tag. He takes them both down with a split-leg missle dropkick. Three Amigos connects to Kazarian; Three Amigos connects to Daniels as well. Chavo goes up top for the Frog Splash, but Kaz kicks him in the skull and kocks him down.
Supermex hits the ring again and military presses Kazarian over the top rope. Chavo is still crotched on the top rope, and Hernandez lifts Daniels up for the elevator drop. Chavo gets to his feet and connects with a top rope crossbody for the three-count.
Winners: Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez
#1 Contender's Match
Bobby Roode vs. James Storm vs. AJ Styles
Styles and Storm clear the ring of Bobby Roode to start things off. They lock up with Styles getting the better of a wrist lock, but Storm transitions it into a momentary side headlock of his own. Storm gets the Irish Whip off the ropes, but Roode sweeps his legs and pulls him to the outside. The two trade blows on the floor, but "A1" flies over the top and takes them both out!
All three men roll back into the ring, with Styles getting both his opponents in opposite corners. He gets the flying splash on James Storm, but gets sent to the outside when he tries the same on Bobby Roode. Storm spears him off the apron and Styles goes crashing to the floor. With Styles temporarily out of he picture, the two bitter rivals exchange blows as Taz and Tenay highlight their long history as Kennelly covers the play-by-play. Storm gets the better of their exchange, but Styles drops him with the standing dropkick from out of nowhere. He goes to work on Roode now, and throws him hard to the outside.
Styles works over Storm's knee and leg to limit the use of his Last Call Superkick. Roode tries to get in, but Styles is in control of the ring and sends him back to the ground. AJ locks in the Indian deathlock on Storm as the "Cowboy" screams out in pain. Roode on the apron once again, but Storm throws AJ off the hold and into the ropes, once again sending Roode back to Earth. Storm gets AJ up for Eye of the Storm, but Roode finally gets back to the ring and hits a DDT on his former tag parter.
Bobby Roode is frustrated from having been kept out of the match largely thus far, and stomps away on both men in opposite corners. A strong Irish whip takes down Storm, and another sends Styles out of the ring. Roode goes for the cover after a neckbreaker, but only gets two. Roode goes outside and sends Styles into the ring steps; he may have been legitimate hurt in that spot. Bobby mocks Storm and calls for the Superkick, but Storm hits a big back body drop. The "Cowboy" calls for a kick of his own, but Styles springboards off the top rope and hits him with a crossbody.
Styles knee is weak, and Roode takes advantage. He stomps away at the knee in the corner, followed by a few strikes, but Styles fires back! Roode rushes the corner, but runs into a boot. Styles attempts the tornado DDT but Roode throws him off to the mat. Roode and Storm lock eyes and there's a moment of understanding. They hit a dual Russian legsweep on Styles and the Impact Zone is cheering for Beer Money. Storm has other plans however, and takes down Roode. He backs Roode into the corner and sets him on the top rope. Styles runs at them, but Storm throws him high into the air, and he connects with a top rope hurricanrana on the seated Roode!
Roode doesn't stay down long though, as Storm and Styles take each other out. He goes up top and gets an Over Castle neckbreaker on Styles, but gets caught with the Pele afterwards. Styles goes for a springboard moonsault on Storm, but he rolls out of the ring and Styles eats a big spear from Roode! 1...2...but Styles kicks out! Roode locks in the crossface on Styles, but it gets rolled over into a small package, but Roode manages to break the pin. Roode with a viscious uranage, but he only gets two. Styles fights back and gets Roode in position for the Clash, but Storm hits the ring and plants him with the Last Call Superkick. 1...2...3, and James Storm pins AJ Styles.
Winner: James Storm
Devon is backstage. He says tonight is called Turning Point. His turning point was when a group of men proved they had his back. He tells Kurt Angle not to take the impending ass kicking personal, because he's just the recipient of a random act of chaos. Devon says it's all just "club business" and we cut to a short video package of the next match.
Kurt Angle vs. Devon
Angle goes right after it with big right hands. He backs Devon into the corner and lands an uppercut. Devon throws a knee into Angle's gut and fires back with right hands of his own. They fight into the corner and Devon plants elbows into Angle's notoriously bad neck. He hits a running shoulder block, sending Angle down to the mat. Devon goes back to the neck, but Kurt doesn't let that last long and sends his opponent flying with a back body drop. Devon pulls himself into the corner and avoids the rush, sending Angle crashing into the ring post.
They head outside and Devon sends Angle off the barricade and through the steel steps before rolling his opponent back into the ring. The referee gets in Devon's face about the closed fists, which allows Angle time to fire off with a round of his own. Angle off the top rope with a missle dropkick, and both men are down in the center of the ring. The Olympic medalist with a flying shoulder followed by the belly-to-belly suplex. Backdrop connects and Angle looks for the Olympic Slam, but doesn't connect as Devon powers out and takes him down with a shoulder block.
Devon heads up to the top rope, but Angle meets him there and throws him to the mat with an over/underhook toss. The Ankle Lock gets slapped on, but Devon rolls it around and throws Angle off.
Winner via submission: Kurt Angle
Hardy and Aries are both on the outside now, fighting over a ladder. Hardy shoves the ladder at Aries, sending him into the barricade.

Re: TNA Turning Point Results
Styles is the main reason I started watching TNA and continued to watch its such a shame his stock has fallen so far, his in ring skills are second to none. I think he's the closest thing TNA had to an HBK, I think he would be fantastic in WWE and maybe that's what he needs to reignite his career, the only problem with that is I can't see him ever leaving TNA, I think his loyalty to the company is too strong, but looking at where's he at now maybe that loyalty is misplaced.

Re: TNA Turning Point Results
I am assuming if the stipulation was the one who's pinned has to wait a year before challenging for the world title then this will lead into a storyline. AJ is a natural face and chasing the title (much like Jeff's current redemption storyline) could produce some very emotive and powerful TV. They might bill it as AJ's last chance at glory or a quest to find himself again. I think fans would be receptive to one last title run for AJ especially if it's booked correctly. I suspect if AJ wins the BFG series Storm will be champion where he can regain his honour and pride from the person who took it away.

Re: TNA Turning Point Results
That was a pretty impressive PPV.
Magnus vs Joe was the usual great display you expect when those two go at it. Actually thought Magnus would win it at a couple of points. Was amazed at Joe's somersault over the top rope, to take out Magnus on the floor.
No real surprises with the RVD - Ryan match, though Ryan put on a better performance than I was expecting. Rob getting stomped by Morgan was the only real shock there.
I'm finding it hard to give a rat's behind about the Knockouts at the moment. The tag team title seems to have become a mixed doubles competition, which makes the whole thing just a tad ludicrous IMO. ODB and EY are an oddball couple as it is, without the cringeworthy Tara and Jesse. The sooner it goes back to being an all-female competition the better.
Liked the Park vs Doc match...always been a sucker for an underdog. I was hoping Joseph would morph into Abyss at some point...and for a moment he did. Was hoping he'd win but, given the outcome, I'm guessing the lawyer will remain part of the Aces 7 Eights story for the time being.
The Tag Team title match was the first big event for me. There is a really good feud building between Kaz & Daniels and Guerrero & Hernandez and both teams put on a great show.
The Roode - Storm - Styles 3-way match was okay, if a little slow at times. Thought it'd be a toss-up between the former Beer Money guys. Best bit for me was their double-teaming of Styles and the way they looked at each other before and after in a "did we really just do that?" sort of way. Agree with MtotheC that, for a guy of his ability and pedigree, Styles does seem to be playing the fall guy rather too often...always on the fringes but never a serious contender. Hope they do have a good story lined up for him, to keep him in the picture until BFG 2013.
The Devon - Angle match actually felt like a bit of an anti-climax after that. Okay but not especially memorable...until the end when A&E invaded the arena. Was glad Angle got the win and bailed before he got beat up again.
The Hardy - Aries match was absolutely epic...one of the best I've seen. Some of the of moves had me genuinely wincing and grimacing. It was one of those matches where, even if you could guess the outcome, you couldn't take your eyes off it. Two of the best wrestlers around, giving it absolutely everything. Hats off to both guys for a fitting main event.

Some of the bumps both Aries and particularly Hardy took where unbelievable, Hardy has a lot of detractors but his timing is absolutely immense

Re: TNA Turning Point Results
The Japanese arm drag onto the ladder in the corner was a cracking moment, it was a decent match between Aries n Hardy and they had some good spots, but I dont think they have the greatest chemistry in the ring. I also hate those silly moments like Aries being one step away from the belts but then climbing down the ladder because Hardy was no longer exactly where he had been the second before.
Solid PPV, I hope theres some movement in the tag division as they seem to be the only two teams, and Chavo Guerrero is being treated way above what his talents deserve.
Just intrigued to see what they do with Styles now, there are certainly many options but they need to choose carefully cos he's drifting away from anything impressive.
