Murray fans excuses for losing
"He came through a harder group"
"He already has a slam this year"
"Federer was at his best, Murray at his worst"
"This tournament is worthless"
"Djokovic will beat him anyway"
"Look at the H2H!"
"The crowd were putting him off"
"This was a fluke"
Excuses Excuses.

JM I'm more interested in what all the pundits said afterwards.
Annabelle C said he'd win in straight sets and both Boris plus Greg in three. Nothing quite like know-it-all ex-tennis pros is there?

Is the OP on the correct forum ? I haven't seen these excuses on this forum. Anyway most of these aren't excuses (e.g. Look at the H2H). Murray was well beaten by the better player on the night.

Haven't seen any excuses on here yet so must be meant for a different forum.
I saw the match. Federer played better, Murray lost.

Links please. The two biggest Murray fans on these boards are (arguably) myself and CC. I've posted nothing of the kind and I don't believe CC will have done either.
Incidentally, what is wrong with "Federer was at his best, Murray at his worst" although I disagree with it?

Re: Murray fans excuses for losing
Well I haven't commented as I have been away over the weekend and never saw the match to formulate an opinion. The better player won on the day but why is there a need for such a topic here. If no excuses have been posted here then this is totally irrelevent. Secondly, I have absolutely no doubt we would have had the usual Fed excuses rolled out if the result had been reversed such as 'too old', 'past his best' and Fed played rank-rotten yet would we have had such a thread posted by Murray fans or anyone else? I severely doubt it. In my opinion that says something about the class of the OP (or lack of it).
