For anyone that joins the league after it begins then the following rule applies for the first two weeks:
Any offer that is made for the new managers players MUST be worth more in total value than the players bid for.
Note that once 2 weeks have passed then the manager is allowed to but and sell as they please but this rule is in place to combat new managers being robbed of their star players and the team being weakened.

I would do that, but

1) Maxwell is injured this week and

2) I would need to up my side of the deal. (there is a rule "Any offer that is made for the new managers players MUST be worth more in total value than the players bid for" that lasts for two weeks).

If you still want to do a deal despite 1) above, then I can add in Mathijsen which would top it up to £7m if you add £0.4m to make up the difference in values.

I could chuck in Zanetti who can play LB as well as RB and DM, if you put in £1m your side.

So Maxwell + Mathijsen + Zanetti = Schmelzer + £1m

That way you are covered for LB this week until Maxwell comes back next week.
