New golf bag
Afternoon peeps,
Looking to purchase a new carry bag. Not looking to spend a fortune as I do not play enough to warrant it (yet). Any advise on websites or places to visit would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

These are the stand bags on sale at Direct Golf.
http://www.direct-golf.co.uk/golf_bags/stand/?s=&search_product_extra=S#filter
There are a shedload on there... but those are particularly cheap in comparison to their RRP.

Re: New golf bag
No worries. I got my new bag at the store in Romford this week. They usually have a large selection on hand in the stores if you prefer to visit although you don't get the members price just the standard one. Which is cheap anyway.
There's one in Solihull which isn't too far from you if you don't want to do the internet thing.

Re: New golf bag
I think all golfers have some sort of OCD going on. Each set up must be the same, have the same routines, use the same ball marker each time.
Doesn't sound good for us golfers then does it...............

Re: New golf bag
i'm pondering a new bag and trying to decide which of my clubs do i match it to... wilson staff irons, titleist 3w, rescue and putter or my trusty MD golf driver and wedges?
what i did notice is that the md golf carry bag has a cooler pocket, which mac was looking for, if he doesn't mind having md golf all over his bag...

Re: New golf bag
I went for the Nike (I was thinking Mizuno originally) as it had a large cooler pocket, a specific place for sunglasses, indidivual fully separate club slots (14 of them) and a shedload of other space. Plus it was cheaper than the mizuno for something which was a lot more solid.

Re: New golf bag
I have a golf related OCD
When I go into the locker room prior to playing, I ALWAYS put my socks on before my shoes, just doesn't feel right doing it the other way round.

Does anyone know how much a set of 14 clubs weighs roughly?

Re: New golf bag
If you say a typical steel shafted iron weighs around 270 grams or so that would be roughly 3 kilos for 11 irons. Woods and putters vary. But 4 kilos cant be too far wrong

Re: New golf bag
I bought a Mizuno twister a couple of months ago just so it would match my set. Sold it at the weekend, sooo heavy and there just doesn't seem to be enough room for 14 clubs, by the time I had managed to get the club back in the bag, I had arrived at my ball for the next shot!
So, I have an OCD for Mizuno equipment, but have yet to find a bag of theirs that I like, so am sticking to my Ping Hoofer Vantage. Best bag by a mile.
Still, almost got my money back on the bag, so have treated myself to some 3 and 4 iron Fli Hi's
