It will have been a fairly decent run to win 8 in a row so would be it fair enough and hard-earned, robbo. One bridge at a time though.

Shouldn't it be 83.72 for England and 83.36 for Wales following the game.

Interesting, just worked out that if France win the series this summer they can overtake NZ.

I think you're right. Didn't save it and can't be bothered again. I have a feeling 2 big wins and a narrow loss might do it also. Can't see it. Should be a good series though. France coming off a disaterous 6 nations, looking for revenge for '11 and worried about a pasting. NZ coming off a big loss to England with a point to prove. Should have an edge.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
If anyone can supply me with link to a comprehensive list of upcoming internationals, I'd be happy to prepare an up-coming IRB list.
But with five possible IRB rankings outcomes for each game, it's problematical to start predicting likely outcomes beyond one match per team at a time.
To predict two games in advance for say wal v nzl and eng v arg, there are 50 different combinations of possible outcomes.

I've just noticed that England's summer tour to Argentina is not on ESPN's list.
It's not on the RFU site either.
Are they full internationals?

Its pretty ridiculas tbh..
But there you go.. Kind of silly to seed based on a days rankings as well..
Seeding should be done based on more factors.. last two WC's - last one carrying more weighting and rankings..
As its done for most sports..

Well, this makes a little better reading than before the six nations anyway. Also, I bet England and Australia are not looking forward to facing Wales in the next world cup, that group could see the hosts going out in the group stages, and before people start I said could not should. I think who ever wins our group will get to the final.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
Blame Wales for this situation picking out of form players, wrong tactics and playing 4 physical games resulting in injuries lowering Wales ranking. I suspect Wales are quite happy having less physical teams in their group i.e., not having their heads knocked off with dangerous tackles.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
Out of interest is there any allowance given for the British and Irish teams matches during a Lions tour? I cant imagine that there is, but these summer tours could badly effect the rankings of England and/or Scotland who IMO face far more difficult summers with their depleted squad than say Wales or Ireland do with theirs. Argentina away is tough at the best of times and while Scotland possibly wont have many missing, they will be the better players.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
'fraid not hj.
As the Lions is a multinational outfit, rankings points are not available to the team. Nor for Australia as there would be no basis of points exchange for the calculations.
For the (overcomplicated) explanation of the methodology, see top of page.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
Yeah i get the fact that no points can be earned or lost in the Lions tests. To be honest, until the situation with Wales and their WC qualification issues in the autumn, i had no real interest in who was ranked where, i knew who i thought were better than who by what i saw with my own eyes and i watch a lot of rugby. If, however, the unions themselves care about them, im thinking the Welsh and Irish unions have organised their schedules with more sense than the English or the Scots. This of course all depends on what actually happens in the summer.

No i realise that mate. My point was more about the NH teams consisting of the ones left behind by The Lions. As a welshman, im quite glad we're touring Japan rather than Argentina this summer. Saying that mind, the young English players will probably learn more about International rugby than their Welsh counterparts in their matches.(win or lose!)

Yeah you're probably right mate and as i said before i never cared much for them anyway. I'm starting to think England may have got it about right, given the experience their younger lads may gain this summer. As long as they don't get a tonking!

England rapidly sealing their spot as the dominant Northern Hemisphere nation, the slip-up in Cardiff seemingly not mattering a jot - consistency is the key. Another +15 win over the Argies next weekend will see us closer to 3rd spot than 5th.

An allowance is i the calculations RDS. The IRB rankings is based on a nominal points exchange and an allowance is made for games played on neutral territory. If you look in the OP, you'll notice that it's included in the up-coming matches.
