You'd need to be Lord. If you had a team that was playing the ABs the following week.... you'd need to be confident about beating the team before them.
Big two weeks coming. Anything could happen.... including two loses.

Ireland made a gain of about 1 point?
The stingy *&*^%$!!!! It's like pulling teeth getting closer to the ABs. We should refuse to play in the 6N now as protest.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
How many ranking points did Wales get from the weekends win over Tonga ? They did put a hefty score on them. It looks as though Australia got more points for beating Italy than Wales did for beating Tonga.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
Did either side get anything for the wins? Tonga and Italy are a long way behind Wales and Aus in the rankings so few, if any points, were on offer. Plus Wales were at home so that weighting goes against them. You shouldn’t really be expecting gains from a home win against Tonga. Similarly England won’t have gained any ranking points after beating Japan at home even though (like Wales) it was in the higher of the two win brackets.

Re: World Rugby Rankings
Wales got null points - they were playing at home so once you add the home bonus of 3pts to their rankings for the calculation they are more than 10pts ahead of Tonga so can't score points increase. Australia - playing away - so Italy has the 3pts added and that brings them to within the magic 10pt level of Australia. And then Aus got in excess of 15pts more - so their bonus for winning gets increased. (If Aus had been at home they would have got no points for the win)
