First topic message reminder :

Bit of a running thread we could hopefully keep going....

Meet Joe Black - Never seen it before, thought it was great but maybe a bit too long at 3 hours. One of Brad Pitt's best performances.

Source Code - Bit of a head f**k, won't lie to you i didn't fully understand the ending.

I watched the Fighter the other not, it wasn't bad but it wasn't as great as everyone made it out to be, it wasn't Rocky boxing , Mark Wahlberg is a terrible actor

Me and the missus watched Love Actually lastnight, brilliant Christmas film

I think Wahlberg is a decent actor.

In the Fighter Christian Bale stole the show.

Great acting.

Saw another of Woody Allen's movies again the other night - Match Point. What a creep he was...!
(so he is under suspicion from the Yard... but has to live with his guilt in that last scene?) Evil guy. Shocked

I watched Scrooge - the one with Alistair Sim as Ebenezer. Great version of the classic story, except the TV always show the horrible "colourised" version when I'd prefer the original black and white.

Mrs work friend recommended Bridesmaids, said even her bloke found it funny. I (strongly) disagree, would only give it 1/10 although I do have a bit of a thing for Kristen Wiig.

Also watched The Help. Interesting subject but not done all that well. Watchable though 6/10.

Today I watched Those Glory Glory Days. It's an '80s British film about a female sports journalist who looks back at her childhood obsession with Spurs when they won the double in 1960/1 after meeting Danny Blanchflower by accident. It's a sweet and amusing film whether you like football or not.

I watched these two lastnight:

Resident Evil: Afterlife - I really think its time to put these films to the Zombies, they have really gone down hill since the very first one and the action scenes and even the CGI in this one was way below par

Machete: Absoultely brilliant from start to finish, an over the top, gorey, nudity packed fun fest

Couldnt agree more.

I watched the remake of the Karate Kid tonight - really enjoyable. Really surprised about how good it was from a turn your brain off point of view!

Watched Kill List at the weekend.

Utter bonkers it was.
Starts as a very run of the mill thriller with good solid performances and about half way through gets completely turned upside down.

Well worth a watch but not for the sqeamish.

Surely that is your fault not the films! It was pretty obvious, but I find most films aimed at kids are pretty easy to guess what will happen...one of the many downsides of no longer being a child!

Dunno about kids films though, i genuinely thought Lotso was gonna help Woody and Buzz in Toy Story 3, and when he didn't i thought they would all go to a fiery grave!

Reservoir Dogs is a classic. Watched Kaante a few years back which is a Bollywood rip-off of RD, was quite bizarre watching them break into song and dance every few minutes.
