Bit of a running thread we could hopefully keep going....
Meet Joe Black - Never seen it before, thought it was great but maybe a bit too long at 3 hours. One of Brad Pitt's best performances.
Source Code - Bit of a head f**k, won't lie to you i didn't fully understand the ending.

I watched Super 8. It was a cam version and the dude was eating the whole way through which kind of spoilt it, fat f**k!
Last good film I watched was Take Me Home Tonight, one of the best films I've seen in the last 6 months.

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
Funnily enough it isn't. It's actually called Take Me Home Tonight
It's set in 1988 and it's about a guy who went to MIT but still lives at home and works in a video store and spends the night trying to impress his High School crush. It's really funny.

Watched The Fighter last night.
Good film.
Christian Bale's performance is quality. Nailed it to perfection.

Not bad at all.
Bit like watching "The Road" with vampires!!
Last really good film I saw was "The Prophet", French prison drama that had me gripped from start to finish.

Brother's Justice
It's a mockumentary about Dax Shepard's attempt to quit comedy and become the next Chuck Norris.
Bradley Cooper, Champ from Anchorman and Jon Favreau* make cameos.
I think it's really funny.

Last one I watched was ALMIGHTY THOR on SyFy channel.
Oh. My. God.
Had planned to review it for my 'bad film' website, but think it was too bad even for that!

Just found it on IMDb, the first review I've seen is titled: "Is this the worst film I have ever seen??" the first line of the review is "The simple answer is quite possibly yes." Would be good to see your review.Doubleagent73 wrote:Last one I watched was ALMIGHTY THOR on SyFy channel.

About three weeks ago I was staying with some pals in Dublin, and one evening we watched the Japanese anime film Spirited Away. I was enjoying it, but having been walking around Dublin all day I was absolutely knackered and fell asleep about five minutes before the end!!

Last film I watched (that I hadn't seen before) was a weird horror flick called Shrooms. Starts off a bit cliched and boring but ends up surprisingly...interesting, with a decent twist at the end, which some brighter people than me might spot coming.

I watched an incredibly weird "comedy" the other night called "Lower Learning"
It had Jason Bigs, Eva Longaria, Rob Cordroy and Kyle Gas in it.
It was just bizarre from start to finish and cant tell if I enjoyed i or not. Still dont know two days on! Anyone else seen it?

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
I was up until three this morning because I'd gotten engrossed in a film called Red Road. It's set in Glasgow about a woman who works as a CCTV operator looking at blocks of flats. After spotting a man she recognises from her past on screen one night, it sets off a whole chain of events. I can't say anymore because I'd give away the whole plot, but I'd highly recommend it. Good realist drama from the UK.

I misread your post, and for a second thought you'd followed up your Conan double feature with the classic Annie - as in family musical with cute singing red-haired girl - "The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow.."

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
I have just watched Tron Legacy. I have to say that I was very disappointed given the script. Bridges I thought held the film together superbly. Olivia Wilde was good and certainly gave a worthy performance. Garrett Hedlund I felt sorry for given that his character was one too many. I felt there was so much emphasis on the effects that the story felt rushed through in certain areas. It needed more depth in story-telling. Dare I say it could've done better with a re-make of the orginal and maybe this as a following sequel.
I think a 7 out of 10 is fair.

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
Remember the Titans is a quality film - not ashamed to admit it, one of the few films that really welled me up in tears.
I just watched the movie Zodiac (2004) been wanting to see it for a while and oh my god was it worth it. Absolutely brilliant film, you have to have some patience as it's a long film however the story was gripping and moved along really well. Acting was brilliant but then again looking at the stellar cast it's unsurprising, bit dark in places but then again it is about a serial killer and they're very rarely cheery films. Don't rate many movies high as I am very picky however this deserves a 9.5 HIGHLY recommend it.

Watched Inception last night for the first time.
I liked the storyline (yes I understood it!) but thought the special effects could have been used a bit more.
