Meet Joe Black - Never seen it before, thought it was great but maybe a bit too long at 3 hours. One of Brad Pitt's best performances.
Source Code - Bit of a head f**k, won't lie to you i didn't fully understand the ending.

Just finished watching Drive.
Very good film.
Best acting performance I've seen from Ryan Gosling.

Oceans Eleven (the Clooney / Pitt version) - stylish, fast paced and fun if a little preposterous - 8/10
Quantum of Solace - A weak outing from the Bond franchise. The fast cut editing does my head in, and the story isn't up to standard. The main baddy is nowhere near menacing enough. 6/10
Australia - Awful. Turned over half way through to watch the second half of the football. 1/10

Boondock Saints. Willam Defoe is brilliant in this, really enjoyed the way it was shot. Watched the documentary about the director 'Overnight' prior to watching it and as egotistical and self-absorbed as he is he can direct.

One for the Money & This Means War.
Both decent I thought.
Think Katherine Heigl is just your average actress, but stunning.
Similar parts in alot of her films.
This means war was better I thought.
Pine and Hardy worked well together, Reese Witherspoon was good to.

I watched the Inbetweeners the other night, I thought it was alright not as good as the series and it was a bit "Disney" at the end with them all ending up with women, there were a few laughs in it and it killed an hour

2nd watching of Dark Knight Rises thoughts in spoiler
So for me a 8.75, I can't quite justify a 9 for it but better than an 8.5
My favourite part is still
- Spoiler:
- First time round I thought it was about an 8, thought Talia's reveal should have been earlier, however I was of the opinion as soon as i heard league of shadows was in it that she would appear, 2nd time round I thought the reveal was pretty good however should have been say 15 mins earlier or so to give her a chance to show what she could do
So for me a 8.75, I can't quite justify a 9 for it but better than an 8.5
My favourite part is still
- Spoiler:
- The fight scene outside city hall, specifically Bane's fighting and where just after his mask breaks he goes into over drive and the punches where they have been sped up

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
I watched the Next 3 Days which stars Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Brian Dennehy, Lennie James, Daniel Stern and Liam Neeson.
The film centre arounds couple John and Lara Brennan who's quiet and happy life is torn apart when Lara is convicted of murderering her boss. All the evidence points to her and she is incarcerated for the crime. Years pass as John struggles to look after their son whilst working and seeing Lara at the same time. John tries hard to persue an appeal and is unsuccessful due to evidence which they have on Lara.
John then embarks on risky mission to break free Lara as she has become suicidal due to harsh realities of prison life and escape the authorities.
The film is one you will enjoy. Crowe puts in a solid performance. The chemistry between father and son is so evident and when the boy visits Lara. Ty Simpkins is brilliant as the son Luke. I loved how Crowe and Simpkins had a 'secure' bond. It is so well portrayed by the 2 as it does have you wanting the bond never to change or break. Banks also is brilliant as Lara. As the unstable and broken spirit that is Lara was very harrowing to watch. Liam Neeson plays a small cameo and one which is enjoyable.
The film has a raw recklessness in the events that unfold which is a good touch as some of the events are so believable. Just over 2 hours long and I enjoyed it. It does not feel like an everlasting painful saga which you just want to end. It has you guessing the outcome at every corner.

Chunhyang - Korean movie from 2000. A courtesan's daughter and a governor's son fall in love; it has hokie happy ending but it's still a superb portrait of medieval Korean society.

The Bourne Legacy. Terribly over-hyped, could have easily been 30 minutes shorter, the motorbike chase sequence was WAY too long (and unbelievable) and certain decisions Jeremy Renner's character makes in the film make absolutely no sense.
Not a patch on the Matt Damon triology.

My idea was for them to create a chain somehow with their clothes (like you would a prison escape like climbing down a window) or one of the lads to hang off the other for a shorter fall.
When the prat comes up with the idea of jumping down, I was like this isn't going to end well.
The cables I did think would cut his hands to crap because of the little shards of metal from constant use.

I predicted Clubber Lang would destroy Rocky in the rematch. But Rocky survived one hell'uv'a beating, wore down his opponent then shocked us all by striking the killer blow!
I'm not so sure I can call his next fight though. Rocky is said to be fighting this 'ultimate athlete' from the Soviet Union.

great answer but you missed the obvious answer....
"Clubber, Clubber - what are your predictions for the fight?"
*Clubber looks into the camera*
Clubber "PAIN!"

FWIW Adam, I understood your attempted set up and had a chuckle.
It gets even worse for the Stallion - he's not just up against some drugged up universal super-soldier next week(?), his frickin' ex-wife is in the opponent's corner too. I pity the fool.
In fact, I'll stick my neck out and say that it's going to be so brutal that someone might even die in the ring...

Re: Last Film Watched Thread
Last few films I've watched:
The amazing Spiderman - good fun, if a bit cheesy at times. Garfiled gives a good performance as always, and Emma Stone is piping. 7/10.
The Dark Knight rises - I've seen this twice now, and think it's awesome, a monster of a film which just about pulls it off although not quite up to the standards of the previous one. I wasn't mad keen on the ending. 9/10.
X-men first class - a lot of fun, a bit rushed at the end. 7/10.
Funnily enough I didn't really like Drive, for me it was a film which was never quite as good as it was trying to be. It took itself too seriously if you know what I mean - it had ambitions of being a masterpiece and never really reached them IMO. Not sure I can explain better, but disappointing for me.

I loved drive. Just loved the atmosphere, the music, the filming, the pasues. I loved the interraction with people and rosling. I just love those sort of films. Its almost like just watching life go on without any specific structure..
i must watch spiderman.
The dark night rises was immense. Cant wait to get it on Blue ray and watch again!
X- men isnt my kind of deal. But if i watched it i would proberly enjoy it. I would just rather draw the line somewhere as I have to many other films to watch.

The Dark Knight rises - excellent film. Loved the character Bane, but like Mike thought the ending pretty average. Still a great watch. 8/10
Total Recall - more serious than the Schwarzy version (and apparently closer to the short story), but maybe drags on a bit at times. Still some great action sequences and very watchable 6.5/10

Watched The Quick and The Dead just now on TV, great film I've enjoyed a fair few times before.
Good performances from Russell Crowe, Gene Hackman, Sharon Stone and even Di Caprio
