2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 2
First topic message reminder :
The discussion(s) continue here guys.
Unbelievable win for the Canaries tonight which see's Man City top for the first time this season, will they hold on.
QPR - still without a win - look doomed and Aston Villa drop into the bottom 3.

Awful.
Worse than anything I've seen from Bale or Suarez, the "main offenders"

In a righteous world, Carzorla would be banned for 3 games.

That was by far our best half of the season.
We're knocking the ball around really well, and we defended well.
Now please just finish it off lads!

I don't want to sound negative, you will think that but.......
Norwich will still be in trouble come end of April and into May, as will alot of teams. This run has been phenomenal, reminiscent of Hull a few years back, maybe not even as good, and we all know what happened to them after christmas.
Michu is just on one of those runs, a fine patch of form (just like Cisse) last season. Michu is banging the goals in but if he left Swansea for a bigger team his goals would dry up and his form deteroirate, just like dempsey at fulham who scored near 20 last season. Im just talking sense and reality. If michu was so good, a spanish side would of snapped him up (say a top 4-6 side in spain, obviously not barca or real).
just my thoughts.

Only game without a goal at villa park.
Sounded like a vey poor game from what I heard.
On the plus side unbeaten in our last 4 games.
2 away games this week against Norwich and Liverpool.
3 points and a place in the semi final would be grand.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 2
The league was - in my opinion - a helluva lot stronger than it is now than when Hull were in it, not that Hull went on a 9 game unbeaten run anyway.
Norwich will of course hit a dip somewhere down the line but they've brought themselves some leeway with this run. At the get-go I never thought that they'd go down and I'll be stunned if the fall through the trap door now but it's still relatively early days so you never know!
Sunderland look worrying poor.

Just a thought on Michu, he got 15 goals in 37 games last season. He's already on 12 in just 16 this season, does that say more about the standard of defending in the Premier League to La Liga?
He's certainly been a top buy though, he just needs to keep this run going because if his goals dry up I'm not sure where Swansea would get the goals from.

We are buy no means safe yet! But I dont think people appreciate the real depth in our squad now. We had no Ruddy, Turner or Tettey today, even Ryan Bennett was out and we've still picked up a great win
Even though I predicted the Swans to go down I think im gonna have to admit I got that wrong.
Hopefully we'll both beat the second season syndrome crap that everyone goes on about. All about strengthening in the summer after the first season and i feel both of us have improved our squads massively.
Reading and QPR are starting to become detached at the bottom now. QPR are in deep trouble

This Premier League is the worst standard in a while.

Appears a Swansea fan has racially abused Sebastien Bassong today. Condemned by Swansea fans on twitter and being reported to the police

When he was caught by Williams...
Im the first to get on Holty's back for going down easily which he does but that was a foul. Werent a sending off though another defender there

I'd love to see you try and stay standing when your leg is clipped when you are running full pelt! No way in a million years was that a dive!
Snodgrass's for the free kick the third goal was more of a dive!

Look again and you'll see his right leg is clearly clipped by Williams.
Watching it again, the foul on Snodgrass for the free kick that lead to the third goal was very very soft and that is the one I would call a dive

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 2
Goal for Utd by Rooney. Great counter attack although you have to question City's defending
Must say early on it looks like Utd's midfield might get overrun as the game goes on

Absolutely disgusting from Carzola yesterday. I can just about accept him going down assuming contact will be made, most players cheat this way, but to hold your ankle in pain afterwards is deplorable. He should be ashamed of himself.
Norwich not doing to badly either. Nice to see Houghton, who is a good guy, getting some good results.
