First topic message reminder :

The discussion(s) continue here guys.

Unbelievable win for the Canaries tonight which see's Man City top for the first time this season, will they hold on.

QPR - still without a win - look doomed and Aston Villa drop into the bottom 3.

Has Matt Jarvis come out as gay today?

And if he has ...

Brighton would be after him?

All joking a side, what is wrong if he is gay?

Adam D wrote:McCOY'S PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS EXPANDED TO TEN PLAYERS AS TRIO EARN DEBUTS

THE McCoy's Premier League Darts will feature TEN players in 2013 under a new format which was announced on Wednesday evening, with Michael van Gerwen, Wes Newton and Robert Thornton to make their debuts in the tournament.

A radical change will see the field expanded from eight players to feature ten stars this year as they compete across 15 nights in the UK and Ireland's biggest arenas.

The ten players will face each other once over the opening nine weeks of the tournament, over the best of 12 legs, before the bottom two players in the league table are relegated following the ninth league night in Brighton.

The remaining eight players will then face each other again over the remaining five league nights before the top four progress to the Play-Offs at The O2 in London on May 16.

Reigning McCoy's Premier League Darts champion Phil Taylor - who won the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship on Tuesday - will head the field of ten players, alongside 2009 winner James Wade and 2011 champion Gary Anderson.

They are joined by established Premier League stars Adrian Lewis, Simon Whitlock and Raymond van Barneveld, while Andy Hamilton retains his place in the tournament following an impressive debut season in 2012.

World Grand Prix champion Michael van Gerwen, who has risen to fourth in the PDC Order of Merit following his run to the World Championship final, will make his McCoy's Premier League Darts debut this season alongside two other new faces, Wes Newton and Robert Thornton.

Newton's status amongst the world's elite was confirmed when he reached September's European Championship final, while Scottish star Thornton claimed the UK Open title in June with a thrilling victory over Taylor in Bolton.

"This new format for the McCoy's Premier League Darts is going to take the tournament to a whole new level," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.

"Fans across the UK and Ireland will experience five spectacular matches on each night, and all ten players have earned their spots with their achievements over the last 12 months.

"This new format will mean incredible competition both to avoid relegation and then for Play-Off places before the ninth McCoy's Premier League champion is crowned at The O2 in May."

The McCoy's Premier League Darts, screened live on Sky Sports HD, will begin on Thursday February 7 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast before travelling to Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Exeter, Nottingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow and Brighton for the first phase of the event.

The final five league nights will be held in Sheffield, Dublin, Birmingham, Liverpool and Newcastle before the top four players progress to the Play-Offs at The O2 in London on May 16.

The McCoy's Premier League Darts competitors are:
Phil Taylor - reigning and six-time Premier League Darts champion
Adrian Lewis - two-time World Champion
James Wade - 2009 Premier League Darts champion
Michael van Gerwen - 2012 World Grand Prix champion
Simon Whitlock - 2012 European Champion
Andy Hamilton - 2012 Premier League Darts semi-finalist
Wes Newton - 2012 European Championship finalist
Raymond van Barneveld - five-time World Champion
Gary Anderson - 2011 Premier League Darts champion
Robert Thornton - 2012 UK Open champion

Nothing. I never said there was. More gay footballers should come out, nothing wrong with it is there!

Why should gays come out. I don't out myself as straight, or declare my out of work interests.

It is a sad fact if society that people are interested in something like this.

I don't actually think that was the point of Jarvis' photo shoot anyways. From the report I heard he is happily married with children but it was more breaking down barriers. I.e. a straight man can pose for a gay magazine so gay footballers shouldn't feel the need to keep things secret.

Why not? He's not gonna be there at the end of the season so he is basically auditioning for other jobs, put out the players who will win him games and impress potential suitors

If someone offered me Ba or Torres as of this moment Ba will get my vote every time. Torres peaked during his Liverpool days, then injuries like they did to Owen, have lost him a yard of pace which is such a big part or was a big part of their games. Once they lost it, both struggled since.

Torres can't shift like he used to, and that's been the cause of concern for him, because then he stopped scoring, confidence diminished and now he just looks like a player who's run out of steam. Ba is athletic, strong and pacey and is scoring goals atm. Torres' time is up imo and I think they'll try and get rid of him and bring in Falcao in the summer.

So then it looks like my lad Zaha is going united for 12million.

Glad about the price tag- was hoping for abit more. But its not to bad a suppose. Considering what we shifted moses for recently.. But then if arsernal had stayed in the game for him the fee would have got pushed up!!

Good luck to him- and good to see that he will be loaned back to us for the rest of the season. No sour grapes here. And yeah i am a wrongon but i am a closet man u follower..

Not happy with that. Looking good in a (comparatively) mediocre team in a lower league is no indication of being any good at the top level. Look at Taraabt. At least he is young I suppose......

Could signal the end of Nani tho.

Our scouts also signed Bebe. And Djemba-djemba. Means little. Fact is he is totally unproven and a big risk at £12m.

yep. but snejder has just done himself an injury with that move,..,

anyway.. its even worse in spain now at the high end of tax- and forign players cant utilse that tax loop hole anymore..

so if players really want money its going to a top club in an average league or russia or china or where ever!!

wow didnt realise his demands were that high. whatever the tax is, why does a player need over 100k a week let alone 200K?!? is he struggling on his current wages of around 80k at inter? poor bloke, he really is having it tough atm.

todays game, it will be an exciting one. avb, tell them just go for it. their defence is so poor that only a win will do. im predicting 6-0 spurs. defoe to bag 4.

Midfielder who supposedly takes up a strikers role when his team has the ball, when you play without a recognised striker I think.

What a save... Or double save...

So essentially a false number 9 is a number 10 when you have a number 9 playing.

Who invented the term?

Might have cropped up this summer because of Spain at the Euro's but I think it was around before then.

after a bright start its been fairly poor from spurs. qpr though have played well and havent allowed us to settle on the ball. losing sandro has been a real blow for us

Really start to worry about Villa. No form at all, QPR starting to find some traction and teams above them picking up points. In desperate need of some experience and grafters.

I think MOTD will struggle to find anything worthy of "highlights" out the game today!

Really both us and Newcastle should give the point back because neither of us deserved one Laugh
