2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 2
First topic message reminder :
The discussion(s) continue here guys.
Unbelievable win for the Canaries tonight which see's Man City top for the first time this season, will they hold on.
QPR - still without a win - look doomed and Aston Villa drop into the bottom 3.

the problem is we have 3 useless strikers in our squad..
Carroll, Cole and Chamakh...none of them can score
Worrying times CF - but at least we have got one more point than we had this morning...

Why all the worry Hammers lads? 8 points above the drop zone isn't a bad place to be in.

Hammers will be fine under Allardyce, home form will keep you up. I think Norwich are the team that are most likely to drop into the mix. Confirmed that Cabaye is now re-injured after today. Coloccini will almost certainly leave next week and be replaced by Yanga-Mbiwa. We need a striker ASAP, Cisse is totally isolated and just looks completely lost with no creativity whatsoever from our wide men. Clear that there was absolutely no plan B after Remy because bids would and should of been made by now. Ben Arfa & Tiote are massive losses and we are in serious trouble now.

On the face of it not bad at all. But only way to survive long term as a Hammers fan is to have deeply ingrained pessimism about our prospects in the top Division. Helps to get through the weekend if you see pretty much any point gained as a bonus.... !FreekShow wrote:Why all the worry Hammers lads? 8 points above the drop zone isn't a bad place to be in.

I hate to put a dampner on the Liverpool parade but we were not just bad, we might as well have not turned up!
In a bit of a rot at the moment, but still 7 points clear and I have full faith Hughton will get us out of it.

Haha Freeky we are still 7 points clear! I believed when we had 2 points after 7 games I certainly ain't gonna stop now
Hopefully we see some transfer activity. The fact we have made a second bid for Hooper suggests to me that Hooper himself is interested in the move. Hope him or Graham comes off!

Bale and Lennon v Rafael and Evra? That's a no contest!!
I'm scared of the "AVB Spurs". Redknapp's Spurs just didn't bring it against United but AVB's Spurs look a better team.

im going off the back of a disappointing performance against qpr, tbh. we didnt use bale and lennon against them, and you just keep winning, without playing well!

redknapp was clearly the more attacking mnanager at totenham. He has proved he can do it differently when he cant attack mind.
But no team beats united more than not by playing the united style.
United 2/1 for me..
chelsea 2/1 as well

Whilst it's true Utd keep winning, I can't remember the last time I saw them play well, therefore I must assume they're winning whilst playing their usual level. AVB's savvy enough to ensure the wingers attack the main Utd weakness; the defence.
"Today's match against Manchester United remains on at this point in time. However the situation is being monitored and much will depend on whether or not there is any substantial snow before kick off at 1600."

Torres starts, Ba on the bench.
Get a grip Rafa. Clear daylight between the two in quality at this point. Esp since Arsenal can be bullied aerially, and were repeatedly by Drogba

Got to laugh that the first game after Walcott signs his contract he's put on the wing.

And with the ball.
Seriously they've lost it 3 or 4 times tying to play it out and every 50/50 with Chelsea swarming them.
What do they do? Keep doing it and give away another goal - no intelligence, no leadership, can't defend etc etc
Terrible.

An aerial threat which Arsenal refuse to use.

Yes they've only themselves to blame on so many levels.

I will maintain with Giroud that he is a good player. His movement in the box is very good.
Thing is as Ent and TSJ say, Arsenal just do not use his best abilities which is aerially.

Tottenham Hotspur @SpursOfficial
There will be a pitch inspection by the referee at 2:50pm. We will have a further update for you as soon as possible after that time.
Good to see you're making the decision early for the fans eh...

That was a lovely run and finish, he is becoming a lot more consistent lately and the amount of goals he has scored speaks for itself.
