Pretty sure having a robot for a ref making the calls wouldn't save Bolontis from the hiding he's currently getting.

Froch @ 4/6 for rounds 1-5 makes sense to me (bet is actually 1-5 or on pts, but doubt it'll go that far). Cheeky 50 on it to start hoarding some beer tokens for christmas

Personally I think the ref has been very good. Are you just gutted about losing money again?

Bellew did what he had to with that cut. Was looking exciting early. Bolonti landed 39 punches. Jesus

nah, i had the fight to go the distance at 4/1. so im happy. bellew fought well, but no ref should be allowing fighters to call the shots like that, home fighter or not

Not sure I've got a problem with that.
No different than any other sport where you would talk to the ref and draw attention to something.
I reffed a football match earlier and I have no issue having a dialogue with players of either side.
A player said there was an elbow, I didn't see it but kept an eye out for the rest of the game and the fella was being handy with his elbows and I booked him.
Fair enough for me.

Froch 4-6 is my bet. Wouldn't put money on this going the distance

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
He didn't call the shots. It was a clean fight, the ref had very little to do. His protector was riding high at times.
Bolonti looked pretty dispondent at the end. No idea why, punch stats showed he threw 183 in the entire fight. David Haye wouldn't be distraught at that output.

bellew was just too strong for him. even the cut couldnt spurr bolonti on to take some chances. the cut might keep him out for a few months though. good timing with the baby i guess

depends if mack has come to win. if he has carl should stop him. if he covers up then froch is not the best chaser

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
Mack has been KO'd 4 times and by lesser opposition. 2/3 awkward rounds and Froch starts ladning, then it's a matter of time. Mack will hate this atmosphere too

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
Yes, his past few fights have been big challenges, last time Froch went into a fight as the favourite was the Johnson fight and that wasn't the best. I can see Mack just trying to survive as long as possible hopefully it will be another top performance though.

The more I hear about Mack, the more I'm intrigued by him. I think he might cause Froch a few problems early on.

We should have ran a sweepstake on the first fighter to come to this song.

Mack might be slightly dangerous on the counter early doors, but CF should wear him down, KO 6 for me.

Mack really was hopelessly out gunned there, great finish mixing it up to the body and not just head hunting. Kessler fight is the one that everybody wants so lets hope that happens.

Commentator needs to pipe down, another Ward fight would have the same result.

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
Carl does seem to be getting better with age. He's now blown away Bute and Mack in his last couple of fights.
He needs to fight Kessler and Ward, in that order.
I am really pleased for Carl. He deserves this credit, at last.

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
Another good display from Froch, although Mack didn't look too hot. Carl did what he had to and looked good doing it. Froch has kept himself so active at the highest level for 4 years now and it shows - guys that haven't been competing at that level such as Bute & Mack can't compete with him, he has kept improving. I'd back him to beat Kessler in Nottingham, he'd beat Bute in a rematch 6 days out of 7, but although its admirable that he wants the Ward rematch that remains a bridge too far.
Fecking pundits on Sky boxing are awful for talking over each other, like listening to a bunch of drunks down the pub.

Mack's jab was awful. How do you expect to trouble Froch or and fighter if you are aiming your jab to their middle.

Froch v kessler is the fight. Ward at end of year if he wins that, but needs to be Kessler next. Hearn should throw money at Kess to get Froch that fight

Re: Froch v Mack and undercard thread
He beats Kessler, but Ward is different class. From Ward's perspective why would he want that fight? He won easy the first time and I can't see what Froch has changed. Ward sells in Oakland, so why go to Nottingham?

Why is the Bute fight bigger in the UK then in Canada?
The Canadians are big boxing fans and they will sell out that fight easy.

It's not, it is pointless anywhere. Froch will literally knock him into next week.
