To be honest I don't think the original Mikey would have been able to help himself - on v1 I thought he actually believed the stuff he spouted rather than just being a WUM.

Do you guys pick and choose who you ban and when? You seem rather adapt at knowing who is and isn't a previously banned user though seem to vary on whether or not you act on it?

Not trying to incite the mods in anyway by asking this, it would just be interesting to read some clarification.

As a general rule, if a previously banned poster returns and makes a right plank of him/herself we get shot of them pretty quickly. If someone tries coming back after a decent break, and they are posting constructively then we are willing to be a bit more lenient. Those returnees' past history does get taken into account in any future mod dealings though.

I don't normally read the comments at the bottom of BBC sport news articles, mainly because they are full of disgruntled people angry that comments are allowed on Wales news items but not on others. However, I was just having a look at the George North story and there are a few names I recognise from the old 606:

Seems like some perhaps preferred to keep their details with BBC and carry on posting there, although it's pretty limited. They used to post a fair bit on 606 I think.

I'm not that impressed with the general level of rugby comment on Beeb.
Half of them seem to be Wendy types.
A few 606 vets pop up over there as you say.

I used to love MikeyPhil and Juggler's 'discussions'. On the one side a rabid poster who could argue both sides of an argument and still twist both against Leicester. On other the other a calm poster who could cut arguments to shreds with a well placed 'fact'.

And . I don't miss 606. I looked at the ScrumV forum the other day (after guby showed me) and was reminded of that place. People just abusing each other and abusing teams. They even done it on a thread created by a ScrumV admin. Makes you realise how well this site is run by the mods and admins.

Same as. TO be honest the 606 facebook page was pretty good, all lighthearted banter, no major WUMs etc. Sadly I got to a point of facebook was starting to annoy me with folks trying to add me, when I didn't know who they were.

Ospreylian1 did come over to v2 when it started, back when it looked and felt more like the old 606, but then disappeared almost overnight. Good to see he is posting still, after all i think he was an older gent, so its nice to know he is still alive.

Moffet wrote in a booming stentorian 'voice' on 606 very opinionated & authoritative sounding, (do you call it Hwyll ?) but undermined most of his authority with appalling spelling & grammar. Real English hater too, but he fascinated me all the same. I don't think he is on V2, as I'm sure I'd recognise his style if I saw it again.
