It'd be 5 stars. Then someone would come along and give it one. Then it'd get another one star rating.
Of course if you had a name for yourself like England word beaters you'd get the 1 star rating the poster not the post.

I should have rigged it so that the only obvious option to vote for just happened to be the 5 star rating!

I think that is more like it will be 1 Star and then the vote will get rigged, as at the moment that is how it is.
(p.s. I voted one star, on the grounds that I was expecting nobody else to, sorry).

Or indeed v.v. Posts that warranted 5 stars would be set upon by people who resented the fact that their sworn enenmy could get 5 stars for their homework and the teacher only ever gave them 1 or 2.
Curiously with the star system you invariably ended up with a rating that no one had ever given you like 3 or 4 stars. It was only the extremes usually.

I gave you a 3 as it's my lucky number. My other, luckier number is 33 but that wasn't an option

I gave it one star, as its obviously full of vile rasist xonophobic bile aimed at my country/player i worship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (while not actually reading the articial itself just looking at who posted)

Re: In homage to 606, rate my article
I often chased down 1 star articles and, without even reading them, handed them 5 just to annoy the one star sheriffs.
Unfortunately, my largesse didn't extend to no-star articles.
This one got no stars from me as it's already amassed some 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s.

Re: In homage to 606, rate my article
I used to get really p1$sed off when you put your article into 'rugby union', and into 'magners league' and into 'llanelli scarlets' and then some tool would give you a 1 star and start gobbing off about why do we feel the need to post this rubbish on the rugby league board. And then you look back and it was on the league board somehow. So glad we don't have that nonesence on here.
Also, anyone every visit ja606? That was set up about the same time as this, but never seemed to take off.

Very polarised so far HKC.
Plainly a highly divisive subject, so must be a WUM.

Re: In homage to 606, rate my article
I'm voting two stars. Why? Because I don't plan on selling out and joining the one star surfers club for one thing. For another because I want to be the one guy who's intelligent enough to realise that there is such a thing as a middle ground and that article ratings are not restricted to either one or five stars extremist ends of the scale

Who was the one star guy? I never found out. Anyone up to confessing?
No matter what anyone would post within a blink of an eye it would be given one star.
