I'm a bit like that too actually. I will start badly and generally not get much better.

I'm playing hockey this afternoon again. I never wanted to play in the first place but I'm enjoying it actually.

I used to love playing hockey at school! I could never hit it far, but I was a mean defender

Hitting it hard is my issue, but I just use the sweep motion to make sure I don't miss it and look like a mong.

They put me up front for some reason despite my obvious technical flaws. Still, I get to do a lot of running and I'm way quicker than the old man defenders I play against.

The formations are a lot like football. I'm slow, but I'm a quality defender, cos I read the game well. Ala Per Mertesacker

Up until my son was born I was a home and aways eason ticket holder, but not now. My Mum, stepdad, brother and tons of mates are all home and away holders, and I quite frequently skype my Mum's iPad at the games so I can see what's happening Laugh

Afro I don't quite understand how you haven't won that game. We were second best all afternoon and somehow we have a point. And yes the referee was utter w*nk. Never a free kick for our goal, and the whole wall thing was farcical.

But brilliant resolve from our lads! UNBEATENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

It was truly awful TSJ. Some of the decisions both ways throughout the game was a farce.

But we showed good resolve and grit to take a point

Brighton do the best Steak and Ale Pies. Football was alright, although we left at 83 mins and Bolton equalised on 96 mins!

Crawley lost, no win in 6 (Barker out Wink ) and still above Bournemouth Wink

The ref was fine, gave Brighton a generous penalty (that was missed) but gave some 50/50 decisions to Bolton, which annoyed the home crowd. Such is life.

Brighton threw it away through backing off when 1-0 up, and Barnes was cheered when subbed off but I don't know if he was poor or they like his replacement.

So you meant attribute not contribute then Wink

I'd put it down to:

1. Having a quality keeper in Ben Foster
2. Having a defence that plays week in, week out together, and is well drilled by our coach, a former defender
3. Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley being really well-suited to each other
4. Claudio 'Makelele' Yacob
5. Shane Long's return from injury and Peter Odemwingie's continued good form
6. Having a group of squad players that can come in and do a job (Gera / Lukaku / Tamas / Myhill / Reid etc)

Yacob is the key though, he is truly superb.
